I WILL BE HEADING HOME LATER THIS MORNING

Well after being on the Outer Banks for about the last 10 days my vacation is just about over. I will heading back to Colonial Heights no later than 11am this morning. I sure hope that the traffic isn't going to be as bad as it was yesterday coming into the OBX, there was like a 10 mile backup coming in. Scott and the rest of his family have made it back home to the friendly confines of Knoxville, Georgia. I am sure that they are going to be a bit tired today from that long ride back to Georgia. Also last night Amanda's Mom & Dad made a surprise visit to the OBX and we went and played Put Put before they went to the fireworks and headed back to CH. I didn't go to the fireworks down here on beach last night, I chose to watch the fireworks at the race in Daytona. Tony Stewart won last nights race at Daytona on the final lap when Kyle Busch tried to block him setting off hug crash coming to the start finish line. Stewart said he did what he had to do to win, Busch refuse to comment to the media about the accident. I thinks Stewart may have won over some more fans last night for what he did to Kyle Busch, Dale Jr. had another tough night finishing 39th after getting caught up in an early accident. I have posted the links below to all the photos that AL took this week here at the beach. MICKEY

Watch What You Drink
It's nice to have a refreshing, cold drink when it's hot out, but high-calorie beverages like regular soda, juices, alcohol, and sweetened iced tea add empty calories and won't fill you up. Instead, drink water with lemon or lime, or try seltzer or unsweetened iced tea.

Eat Fresh Fruit for Dessert
Instead of high-calorie, high-fat desserts, enjoy seasonal, fresh fruits. Watermelon is a great choice because it's low in calories (only 46 calories per cup), and it fills you up because it's 92 percent water.
