HAPPY ANNIVERSARY AL & DONNA

Well today is Al and Donna's 3rd wedding anniversary, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY AL & DONNA. It seems like yesterday that I had to put that tuxedo on for the wedding. Our Appomattox League baseball team will be back in action tonight at Matoaca and Hopewell on Friday. The Appomattox League regular season will end next week. Well mom and dad made it back from the OBX yesterday so the only people down there at this time are Glenn and Pam. It looks like the price of gas is heading back in the right direction and that is lower after topping around the $2.70 gallon, the price for a barrel of oil has dropped $62 after topping out at $71 last week. If I was still doing my PAIN index it would be higher this morning because I stepped on a rock going to get the mail on Monday, my right heel is very sore. MICKEY

Staying Active
Whether your injury is minor (muscle strain) or major (torn ligament), you're not doomed to weeks of riding the couch and watching television. The decision to continue exercising is up to you and your doctor and only requires a little planning and a lot of common sense.

When it comes to exercise- and sports-related injuries, your first step is always to see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment. Exercising with chronic pain is a recipe for disaster and may turn a temporary problem into a permanent one. Once you visit your doctor, talk to him or her about how to work around your injury. Below are some ideas to put to your doctor so you won't lose all the strength gains you've worked so hard for.

About the future
If you're gloomy about the future, that's how the future will end up being. Choose instead to take another view and make another future.

The future has not happened yet. So it will be whatever you decide to make it.

There always have been, and there always will be, many challenges in life. Yet within those challenges are even more positive possibilities.

Among those possibilities are the most wonderful, beautiful, amazing and personally meaningful treasures you can imagine. Expect the very best, and then get busy making it happen.

Experience right now the unmatched joy that comes from moving your world positively forward. Be the enthusiastic creator of the brightest future you can imagine.

The future is being born right now in your thoughts and actions. Choose to make it the best it can possibly be.
