ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY

1969 - Barbara Jo Rubin became the first woman to win a U.S. thoroughbred horse race. WOW,SHE MUST HAVE BEEN PRETTY FAST.

i'm very confused!! was she riding a thoroughbred? did she win a race on an old nag and the prize for winning was a thoroughbred? or was she just runing on foot agianst a bunch of glue horses? ILTK
