COLONIALS UPSET MONARCHS

The CH girls basketball team upset the Meadowbrook Monarchs 74-64 last night in CH forcing a 1 game playoff monday night to determine the #1 seed in the CD tournament. CH and Meadowbrook finish the regular season as Co CD Champs with a record of 12-2 in CD, CH finishes with an overall record of 16-4. The 1 game playoff will be played Petersburg monday night. Ken Schrader drew the pole for saturday nights Bud Shootout, he is now driving for the Wood Brothers, I would like to see him have a good season. There will be winter weather in VA saturday but right now it appears that we will miss most of snow here in CH, however we might get some light snow before it turns to rain. As far as as I am concerned we don't need any snow. We also have another birthday saturday, stay tuned for a photo of the birthday boy, he really might be a Colonial fan at heart. MICKEY

Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: A desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.Champions aren't made in gyms.
