ME MA EVELYN HAS A SETBACK

For all of you people who read Mickey's Place and don't already know Me Ma Evelyn had a stroke yesterday morning and is now in the hospital at Johnston Willis in Chesterfield. She had only been out of the hospital from her heart surgery less than than day when she suffered a stroke at the Colonial Heights Living Center yesterday morning. She was doing so well after heart surgery only to have this happen to her, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. The Virginia Cavalier baseball game yesterday with Florida State was rained out and they scheduled to play a double header today but looking at the weather forecast I don't think they will play today either. The Richmond Renegades have to win today or there chances of making the playoffs are just about done, the Twin City Cyclones will be in town today. The weather sure isn't helping helping our baseball situation at all, there is a 100% chance of rain today and with all the rain we have already have had I doubt we will be able to get on the field before Wednesday this week and we have another game scheduled for Friday but it's suppose to rain again then as well. At the rate we are going our 1st game of the season might be a Central District game. Also tonight they will announce the field for the years NCAA basketball tournament, the Rowdy Rams fans will find out where they are going to play, they might be headed to Oregon. MICKEY

Courage is simply the willingness to be afraid and act anyway. ~Dr. Robert Anthony

TODAY IS
Buzzard's Day
Everything you Think is Wrong Day

Stretch Your Mind. Learn a new language to create new pathways in your brain. There’s no need to get fluent; just drill vocabulary with an instructional CD in the car. Or try a new hobby like cooking or dancing.

Appreciate the good things
The sunshine feels so very much warmer after weeks of rainy days. Your loved ones seem so much more precious whenever they've been away.
You truly appreciate and value your good health after recovering from a difficult and prolonged illness. You learn new respect for financial discipline after working your way out of a burdensome debt.

It's easy and natural to appreciate the good things after you've experienced life without them. Yet sadly, that can often be too late.

How very much better it is to appreciate the good things you have while you still have them. For then, not only can you appreciate them, you can put them to positive and productive use.

So begin each day by counting your many blessings. Pay particular attention to the ones so overwhelmingly a part of you that you might otherwise take them for granted.

True abundance and gratitude are solidly linked. The more you appreciate the good things, the more numerous they will be.
