CAVALIERS WIN AGAIN, RENEGADES LOSE, COLONIALS BASEBALL RAINED OUT

The Virginia Cavalier baseball team is now 15-0 after pounding Florida State on Friday 15-2, the Cavs have been getting tremendous pitching performances from its starters and they are pounding the baseball. The Cavs will face Florida State again today at 1pm. Our baseball game scheduled with Varina yesterday was rained out and has yet to be rescheduled which means it may not be due to scheduling conflicts, our season opener is now next Friday against L.C. Bird. The Richmond Renegades were beaten badly last night by the Fayetteville FireAntz 6-1, the Gades scored the 1st goal of the game and that was it. The owner of this team has given up and doesn't want this team to make the payoffs, he has made the coach of the team make several moves in the last few weeks which were not in the best interest of the team thats for sure. The future of hockey in Richmond sure doesn't look to good thats for sure, maybe someone else will bring a team to the city with a owner that isn't so shady. Virginia Tech run in the ACC basketball tournament has come to an end at the hands of UNC 79-76, I thought the Hokies were going to pull this one out but just came up short. I did go down to Wal-Mart this morning and I have to say the donuts were very good again this morning. It looks like it is going to be another very wet day here in the Heights. MICKEY

COACHES CORNER

Most people give up just when they're about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game, one foot from a winning touch down. ~Ross Perot

TODAY IS
Pie Day
National Potato Chip Day

Being pleasant doesn’t c
ost anything - it just makes you more friends.

Good source. Some food products are marketed as "a good source of" a nutrient, for instance, Vitamin C or protein. The Food and Drug Administration defines the term "good source of" as a food serving that provides at least ten percent of the daily value of the nutrient per serving for healthy people eating 2,000 to 2,500 calories a day.

Above and beyond
A little extra effort can bring your life to a much higher level. Once you've done what must be done, do a little more.
The distance you must travel to get from ordinary to outstanding is not really that far. Yet the benefits of going that extra distance are enormous.

You have something very special and original to give to life. Let the best that you are flow out from you with every effort, in every situation.

There is an abundance to which you're already connected. Do the work and put forth the commitment to fully express that abundance through the outcomes you achieve.

The opportunity to make a difference is one of life's greatest blessings. Seize that opportunity and live it with every breath you take.

Know the magnificent joy that effort can bring, and you'll always be eager for more. Go above and beyond, and you'll find it to be a truly wonderful place.
-- Ralph Marston
