IT'S GOING TO BE IN THE 80'S TODAY AND TOMORrOW

It was just 1 week ago today that we had a snowstorm that disrupted baseball practice for the week and today and tomorrow it's going to be in the low 80's. Looking at the extended forecast it looks like it is going to be in the upper 50's on Friday which is the Opening Day 2009 for the Colonials. In last night scrimmage we played much better than we did last week but still came out on the short end of a 7-4 score, we had one bad inning in which Henrico score 4 runs without a hit. I have to say there was a very big contingent of Colonials fans at the game. The Virginia Cavalier baseball team is now 11-0 after beating Wake Forest yesterday 8-6, the Cavs will go for the sweep of the Deacs this afternoon in Winston Salem. The Virginia basketball finished out the regular season beating Maryland 68-63, the Cavs will play again Thursday in the ACC basketball tournament. The VCU Rams beat Georgia State 61-52 yesterday to advance to todays semifinal game with ODU at the Richmond Coliseum. I understand that since Northeastern lost last night that Andrew has jumped on the Rowdy Rams bus and will be rooting for VCU today. There will be at least 1 team from Virginia in the this years NCAA basketball tournament, Radford beat VMI to win the Big South Championship. The Richmond Renegades lost to Fayetteville last night 4-1 and with the loss the Gades are just 1 point away from not making this years SPHL playoffs. The Nascar Sprint Cup Series will race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway today. Me Ma Evelyn continues to improve after her heart surgery, mom said that she was sitting up and talking yesterday. I hope everybody set the clocks forward last night if not you are going to be an hour behind all day. MICKEY

Choosing
In important areas of your life decide what you want, and then seek out ways of achieving it. In less important areas of your life choose from what is immediately available.

About 8 million blood cells die in the human body every second, and the same number are born each second.

Effortless effort
The direction you're headed will determine how easily and gracefully you make progress. When you're moving toward your most authentic desires, the going will feel almost effortless.
Sure, there will be effort involved, and indeed it may be quite complicated and challenging. Yet when that effort is applied in a direction that's in harmony with who you are, it won't feel like effort at all.

It will feel like adventure and it will feel like fulfillment. Because that's exactly what it is.

If your efforts do not feel effortless, if you struggle against them and resent them and avoid them, something is surely wrong. Look closely and carefully at where you are headed, and make sure your actions from moment to moment are in line with the things you value most.

Even the most difficult challenges, even the most demanding efforts can bring real joy as you work through them. When you're serving a purpose that has real meaning for you, every step is something to be treasured.

Choose a path that leads toward where you truly wish to go. When the effort feels effortless, you'll know you're moving in a direction that's right for you.
