COLONIALS VISIT THOMAS DALE, IT'S HOMECOMING IN CRAWFORD COUNTY

The Colonial Heights Colonials have a very tough task ahead of them tonight when they travel to Thomas Dale to play the Knights, not only is it homecoming for the TD but it they are also having a 100 year anniversary of the school tonight. It does look like we are going to get some rain today so it could be a wet track. The Crawford County Eagles are also celebrating homecoming tonight when the Rutland Hurricanes come to town. In college football last night Rutgers knocked of #2 South Florida 30-27, it just hasn't been a good year to be in the top 5 in college football. The Boston Red Sox stayed alive last night beating the Cleveland Indians 7-1, the Indians still lead the series 3-2. The Nascar Nextel Cup series visits the Martinsville Speedway this weekend, there could be some more short fuses after this race. The Richmond Renegades have a exhibition game tonight in Fayetteville, NC, the same two teams will play in Richmond tomorrow night. Also tonight fellow blogger A.G. is working the Louisville at UCONN game tonight on ESPN. It does look like we are going to get some rain today, they say we might get a 1/4 inch in most places and isolated locations could get more if they a t-storm. I haven't decided if I am going to tonights football game at press time. MICKEY

Thought for Today: "A good beginning makes a good ending." — English proverb.

Filled with life
You are constantly in the process of becoming. You are constantly in the process of growing, no matter what your age or what you've already been through. At the end of this day you will not be quite the same person you were when you woke up. You will have learned new things, lived through new experiences, known some new accomplishments and some disappointments.

Today is your opportunity to mold yourself and to direct your life. The person you are tomorrow will depend on how you live each moment of today. It's a serious responsibility and a great opportunity.

The moments of this day may seem quite ordinary as you go through them. Yet every day is important, every moment is special and vital. They are your opportunities to live, to love, to grow, to learn, to accomplish, to become, to fulfill.

Rather than just looking at this day as another one to endure, see in it the wondrous amount of living with which it can be filled. Give today your best, and its golden treasures will be yours.
