COLONIALS PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT BUT FALL, VIRGINIA GOES FOR 7TH STRAIGHT WIN

The Colonial Heights Colonials put up a good fight last night at Thomas Dale before falling to the Knights 16-7, both teams had numerous turnovers in the game which kept the game close. Down in Georgia it was a tough night for the Crawford County Eagles as the Rutland Hurricanes beat the Eagles 42-18 ruining the Eagles homecoming. Scott didn't call and give me a report so I don't have any details on this game, all the other high schools scores of interest are posted to the right of you computer screen. The Virginia Cavaliers will be going for there 7th straight win tonight at Maryland when the face the Terrapins, last year UVA lead most of the game before collapsing to the Terps at home. Also today the N.C. State Wolfpack will be at East Carolina, the Pirates are going for there 4th straight win. The Georgia Bulldogs have the day off, I have posted some other games of interest to the right also. Jeff Gordon captured the pole for this weeks race at Martinsville, Gordon is on a roll and I don't know if anybody can stop him. The Richmond Renegades fell to Fayetteville 5-1 last night in a fight filled exhibition game, the same two teams will play in Richmond tonight. I talked to former blogger Gary Fox last night and he told me he doesn't do the blog thing anymore. MICKEY

A BIT OF TRIVIA
• Today is National Change Your Oil Day.
• The annual Woolly Worm Races are today in Banner Elk, North Carolina.

Enjoy it
Here's a suggestion that will make today a great day. Find a way to look forward to and enjoy everything that you must do today. That's easy to say, but is it really possible? Of course.

First, there are things you will genuinely enjoy doing. You should have no problem looking forward to them. That leaves all the other things -- those tasks which may be unpleasant or uncomfortable or otherwise undesirable. The good news is that you can look forward to them with even more anticipation, because rather than looking forward to doing them you can genuinely look forward to having them done and behind you.

For everything you must do today, you can either look forward to doing it or look forward to getting it done. Whatever the case, the ultimate outcome is enjoyable, no matter what the task may be. And when you enjoy what you're doing, you naturally become more effective at it.

Look forward to everything, enjoy doing it or having it done, and you'll make it a great day.
