RENEGADES BLOW 3-0 LEAD AND LOSE THERE TEMPER

The Richmond Renegades looked like they were well on there way to there 7th straight victory after the 1st period last night leading 3-0 before the wheels started to fall off the bus. The momentum of the game started to change at the beginning of the second period when Goudie got a fight, even though he probably got the best of the fight it seemed to give Fayetteville some life. Soon after the fight the FireAntz got a 5-3 and scored and then another power play goal which made it 3-2. At the end of the 2nd period Richmond had a 4-3 lead but Fayetteville tied it up very early in the 3rd period and took the lead 5-4 shortly after that. At that moment that's when Richmond fell apart completely and the FireAntz went on to win 7-4. The Renegades took two 5 minute major penalties and host of slashing and crosschecking penalties, they played the last 8 minutes of the game down to players. Several FireAntz players were injured in the last 8 minutes and the players that were on the ice really were getting assaulted in many ways by the Renegades dirty play. I am sure that several Renegade players will not be available next weekend and a few more will probably be suspended even longer. The Renegades next home game is on December 27 against you guessed it the Fayetteville FirAntz. The Manteo Redskins bid to win the 1A North Carolina football cahmpionship game up a little short yesterday as the Redskins fell to Elkin 28-7, the Redskins end there season with a 15-1 record, now thats a pretty good season. There could be some changes coming to the blog stay tuned for further details. MICKEY
