IT WILL FLORIDA VS OHIO STATE IN BCS TITLE GAME

It will be Florida Gators and the Ohio State Buckeyes squaring off in the BCS championship game this year. The Michigan Wolverines made a very strong case for themselves for the game but in the end the BCS put Florida as the #2 team in it's standings. Also in the Peach Bowl it was made official yesterday it will be Georgia and Virginia Tech playing in this one at the Georgia Dome. I think fellow blogger Scott is trying to get some tickets for this game. In the NFL yesterday the Packers were dismantled by the Jets 38-10 and the Redskins fell to the Falcons 24-14. Things got off to a pretty good start for the Skins they lead 14-0 before Atlanta scored 24 straight points. The UVA basketball team got off to a good start in ACC play beating the NC State Wolfpack 67-62 in fron of a sellout crowd at the JPJ Arena. The CH girls basketball team will be back in action tonight at home against a very good Midlothian team. I have posted an old photo from the past of Al doing some cooking at Christmas, I think it was taken back in the early 70's. I have a new injury this morning and I really don't know how I hurt it, my right shoulder is killing me, none my other problems are bothering me now because my shoulder is hurting so bad. MICKEY

Dr. red pepper?
Peppers rank surprisingly high on the list of healing foods. For instance, hot chile peppers contain capsaicin, a compound that acts as an anticoagulant and may help prevent heart attacks and strokes caused by blood clots. A half-cup of chopped red bell peppers provides 141mg of vitamin C and 4,250 IU of vitamin A -- more than an adult's daily needs for both. And whether they're mellow and sweet or fiery hot, all peppers are all good sources of potentially cancer-fighting antioxidants, especially vitamin C.

2000, A Florida state judge refused to overturn Republican presidential candidate George W. Bush's certified victory in Florida, and the U.S. Supreme Court set aside a ruling that had allowed manual recounts.
