THE HEAT IS ON

The heat is on, well at least for the next two days with temps in the mid 90's and heat index over 100 I hope everybody's AC's are working. It was a tough not on the ball diamond last night as CH fell to Thomas Dale twice 9-5 and 2-1. In the 1st game there just to many errors and just to many runners left on base and in the second game we played great defense and got good pitching but didn't get any offense. Keith you might be leaving at the wrong time because it looks like TD maybe pretty good in baseball the next few years. The next game for CH will be at Hopewell on monday night. At the CWS UNC is the only remaining undefeated team as they sent Cal St Fullerton back to California, in the other game Oregon St defeated Rice. Today Rice will play Oregon ST again with the winner advancing to play UNC in the finals of CWS. The US soccer team will play Ghana this morning at 10am, the US has to in this game in the World Cup if they want to have any chance of advancing to the next round, even if they win they would still need a little help to advance. There are three types of baseball players: those who make it happen, those who watch it happen, and those who wonder what happens.

Knights are 2 years away. Next year they should be good enough to return to tournament and the following the year they should contend for the top spot. It's my understanding they have a 8th grader (rising Freshman)who should provide 4 solid years of pitching. I was told he was better than anyone we had this year. Time will tell.

I purchased mine last week. Don't believe me, ask Mickey what kind of hat I was wearing on SAT. I bought it right after I was measured for the TUX.

At least I will be able to sit with the normal crowd at this Goulder wedding. I sat in the children's space at Keith's since Lee was just over a year old and I was afraid he take off down the aisle.
