RENEGADES LOSE 3RD STRAIGHT, CHRISTMAS TREE NOT YET UP IN GEORGIA

The Richmond Renegades lost there 3rd straight game last night falling to the Columbus Cottonmouths 5-3, the Gades will play the Cottonmouths again tonight in Georgia. The Renegades need some more offense if not they might in cellar by next weekend. The Richmond Spiders were unable to stop the potent offense of the Appalachian State Mountaineers falling to Appy State 55-35, the Spiders offense did ok but did turn the ball over few times in costly situations. In basketball action last night the Virginia Cavaliers knocked off powerhouse Longwood 76-57, next up for the Cavs is a another home game with the Hampton Pirates on Dec 19. The CH Colonials fell to Dinwiddie last night 75-52. If my sources are correct fellow bloggers AL & DONNA are in West Virginia this weekend. It has also come to my attention that fellow blogger Scott doesn't even have his Christmas tree up yet, whats going on down there in Georgia. I was able to get down to Wal-Mart this morning an hobble threw the store, there were a few more people than normal there since it's getting a little closer to Christmas. In case you didn't see my entry yesterday afternoon the Dr. has rules out gout and any broken bones in my foot, however my foot is still very sore and still swollen. I am going back to the Dr. on Tuesday. MICKEY

Frugal Tip
Popsicle Sticks
Save your leftover popsicle sticks for marking the garden, or do an arts and crafts project with your kids.

Health and Diet Tip
What motivates you to lose weight? Every one of us is different. What works for one person may not be the solution for another. Choose what motivates you to lose those extra pounds -- the old clothes you used to wear, that upcoming special event, your health, your family or simply your new outlook on life. Think of what motivates you and make it work to your advantage.

In control
There are lots of temptations and there are plenty of excuses. Keep in mind, though, that you are in control of you.

To reach the destination you have chosen, you must follow the path that will take you there. And while diversions and distractions will constantly come along, remember that you are in control of you.

Your thoughts, your words and your actions are precisely the ones you choose. They can take you anywhere you would like to go.

Though many things are out of your control, you are always in control of you. You can respond, you can adjust, you can persist and you can move in the direction of your dreams, no matter what the outside factors may be.

You are in control of you. Your decisions in each and every moment determine the quality of life that you live.

It is a heavy responsibility and a magnificent opportunity. You are in control of you, and you will always go right where your actions take you.

Hoos will play a week from WED. They have exams this week. Last nights game was ugly, if they played anybody else it would of been an L. None the less, a "W" is a "W"
