A BCS MESS, RENEGADES FALL TO CYCLONES

Well I have to say the BCS is a mess right now, all Missouri and West Virginia had to do was win and they would be in the BCS championship game and they both lost. So what does the BCS do now move the #3 Ohio State and # 4 Georgia to the BCS championship game, well I don't think it will be that easy. First off Georgia didn't even play in the Southeastern Conference championship game, the #5 team Kansas I don't think belongs in it, then you get to #6 Virginia Tech who won the ACC championship game yesterday but they lost to the #7 in the BCS LSU by 41 should they go, I don't know. I don't think Ohio State but it looks they are going to be in the BCS championship game for sure. Is it possible that the #8 team in the BCS going into this week is going to play for the championship. It sure is going to be interesting see this afternoon when the BCS standing officially come out, it sure been a wild year for college football, a playoff system would solve all these problems in my opinion. The Richmond Spiders moved on the semi-finals in I-AA with a 21-10 win over Wofford yesterday, the Spiders will travel to Appalachian State next weekend with the winner advancing to the I-AA championship game, yes this is the same Appy State team that beat Michigan earlier in the year. The Richmond Renegades fell to the Twin City Cyclones last night at the RC 6-3, it was a lackluster effort by the Gades in my opinion. The Colonial Heights boys basketball team fell in OT last night 58-54 to Bishop Sullivan from Virginia Beach in Trinity Tournament, the CH boys team will be at home Tuesday night against Atlee. My foot hasn't got any better, it is still very swollen and very sore, the more it hurts the more I think I have broken a bone somewhere in my foot. MICKEY

Time has a wonderful way of showing us what really matters.

Positive values
Rather than lamenting what you do not have, make the most of what you do have. Rather than being stopped by what you cannot do, move forward by doing what you can do. Instead of agonizing over the past or worrying about the future, make sure that right now you are the very best you can be.

Put your attention and your effort where they count. Use your energy and your time where they can make the biggest positive difference. Being positive is more than just repeating happy phrases. Being positive means living positive. Being positive means seeing the possibilities for improvement and advancement in every situation, and acting on them.

Being positive means doing what is necessary and right even if it is not easy or popular. Positive values are more than just platitudes. Sincere positive values result in effective positive actions. And those actions will bring real, lasting and substantial achievement.
