REANEGADES WIN, I AM STILL HURTING

The Richmond Renegades fell behind 2-0 after the 1st period but stormed back in the 2nd and 3rd periods for a 5-2 victory wreaking Havoc on the Huntsville Havoc. It was a very entertaining game for the most part, there were some good hits and a few fisticuffs as well. The Renegades are at home again tonight against the Twin City Cyclones. I didn't get to enjoy the game as much as normal because my foot was hurting pretty bad and I had a splitting headache. I did go get some x-rays yesterday morning but they won't have the results back until Monday or Tuesday, my blood work should back then as well. My foot is still about the same, it is still pretty swollen and I can't put to much pressure on it either without it hurting. The Colonial Heights boys basketball team fell to Goochland last night 66-55, the Colonials will play in the consolation game tonight in the Trinity tournament. The ACC championship will be decided today when Virginia Tech meets Boston College in Jacksonville, the winner will move on to play the Georgia Bulldogs in the Orange Bowl. The Richmond Spiders will play Wofford in the 2nd round of the NCAA I-AA playoffs, Wofford won the Southern Conference and is Spartansburg, South Carolina. MICKEY

Fitness Tip
What’s your goal? Knowing what you're working towards and creating a mental picture of your goal will determine your weight training parameters and program, as well as increase your focus and dedication. Is your goal to reduce body fat, increase muscle mass, train for a competitive event or increase energy? The more specific your goal, the more effective your program. Write them down! Make them measurable and realistic.

Point your hope
Let hope encourage you to take action. Don't let it be a substitute for action.

To have hope in your heart is more than to merely wish. The power of hope comes from the effort and commitment it inspires.

Hope can give you a reason when no other reason is there. Hope can make the impossible happen.

Yet for hope to work for you, you must work for it. Hope is not a free ride, but rather is a deeply compelling and meaningful path to follow.

Make the effort, do the work, deal with the challenges, and hope will prove to be an indispensable ally. Add the fervor of your hope to the effectiveness of your actions, and you'll have a winning combination indeed.

Point your hope toward the highest peak you can imagine. Then give the best that you have to see it through.
