PA PA (ALVIN E. GOULDER) 1918-2002

It was 5 years ago today that Pa Pa passed away, it sure doesn't seem like it was that long ago and he will always be missed. The CH boys basketball team fell to Lee Davis last night 65-47, both the CH boys and girls basketball teams will be at home tonight against the ARGS. I am going to to try to make it depending on how my foot feels. Speaking of my foot I am going back to the DR. this afternoon to let the Dr take another look at it, I am concerned that he might give me a shot to try to reduce the swelling in my ankle, it is still pretty swollen. The mild weather here in CH will continue today with highs in the low 60's and tomorrow with highs in the upper 70's before it starts to coll down drastically for the weekend. MICKEY

Health Tip: Take Care of Your Lips This Winter
The cold, dry air of winter can take a toll on your skin -- especially on the lips.

Here are suggestions to help protect your lips from painful drying and chapping, courtesy of the U.S. National Library of Medicine:

* Drink plenty of fluids to keep your skin well-hydrated.
* Protect and treat lips with a beeswax lip balm or petroleum jelly.
* Keep a humidifier running in your home to prevent the air from becoming too dry.
* Apply sunscreen to your lips.
* Avoid too much exposure to the sun or wind.

Do more
Do more than merely getting through this day. Jump into it fully with vigor and enthusiasm.

Do more than merely getting through your work. Find real joy in making a difference.

When the purpose behind each day is just to get it over with, that dismal purpose can begin to take over your whole life. By contrast, when you put a little bit of joy and positive purpose into each moment, you get a whole lot of great and wonderful things filling your world.

It only takes a fraction of a second to change your whole life and your whole world for the better. Are you ready to go beyond merely surviving and to fill each thought, each word, each action with the most magnificent possibilities of life?

Life is exactly the way you choose to see it. Wherever you may be, whatever you may be doing, you have the opportunity to immediately and completely make life truly great.

Open your eyes, look around, and awaken to all the best possibilities. Now is when you can live with all the richness you're able to imagine.
