PACKERS EARN 1ST ROUND BYE, REDSKINS KEEP PLAYOFF HOPES ALIVE

The Green Bay Packers didn't play that well but still were able to come away with 33-14 victory over the Rams yesterday, with the win the Packers clinched a bye in the 1st round of the NFC playoffs. Also with the win and Dallas loss the Packers are now tied with the Cowboy's for the best record in the NFC at 12-2 with two games left. The Washington Redskins did what they had to do last night to keep there playoff hopes alive, they beat the New York Giants 22-10. The Redskins will visit Minnesota next weekend in a big match up which could determine whether the Redskins make the playoffs this year, a Skins win next week could give them a pretty good shot of making the playoffs the final week of the season against Dallas. My foot is feeling much better this morning, it is still sore in a few spots most in the toe area of my foot, the swelling has continued to go down. I was able to go out and walk on my treadmill a bit yesterday, I just can't go to fast yest. Hopefully I will be able to run on the treadmill again soon. It won't be long and school will be out for Christmas. MICKEY

Health and Diet
Holiday eating can mean special foods and treats -- and high-calorie choices. With a little planning, you can enjoy the fun foods of the holidays without all the extra calories. This holiday season, decide which foods hold special meaning for you, which foods you love the most and which foods you cannot live without. Once you have decided, skip the least favorite and focus on smaller portions of the higher-calorie favorites.

The power of truth
The more completely you live in truth, the more fully you will connect to and realize your best possibilities. Truth will show you who you are, and enable you to go where you most sincerely wish to go.

Truth is not always the easiest or most convenient choice, and it can often be painful. Yet in the long run, truth never fails to be the best course.

When you seek to avoid the truth, you'll put a great amount of effort into a pursuit that will take you backwards. Instead, work your way willingly toward truth at every opportunity, and you'll always be making real progress.

Those who fight against the truth are fighting a losing battle. Use every opportunity, in every moment, to put yourself on the side of truth.

Deception costs much and gains nothing of any value. Truth sets you free to achieve, to learn, to experience, express and fulfill the best that is within you.

Be true to yourself, to others, to the world around you and to all of life. Truth will always keep you looking and moving forward.
