VIRGINIA WINS, I AM GOING TO THE BEACH

The Virginia Cavalier baseball team beat Clemson last night 6-5 in the ACC baseball tournament in Raleigh, the Cavs will face the #1 team in tournament tonight UNC at 8pm. Florida State has already won there pool and will likely face the winner of tonights UNC vs Virginia in championship game Sunday. The Pittsburgh Penguins dominated game 2 of there series with Carolina last night and game away with 7-4 win and 2-0 series lead, they way that both series are going right now it looks like the battle for the Stanley Cup will be rematch of last years finals between Pittsburgh and Detroit. Ryan Newman captured the pole for this weekends race at Charlotte, Kyle Busch will join him on the front row. As long as I feeling ok tonight I am going to beading down to the beach for the weekend, yesterday I didn't feel to good but this morning I am feeling a bit better but I haven' gone to work yest and started lifting things. Speaking of work, Colonial Heights city schools are closed today, it looks like fellow blogger Les decided to give them an extra day off, I don't even think Keith is off today, whats going on. I think fellow blogger Scott has to go to a graduation tomorrow, Dusty will be officially entering the real world. Have a nice weekend. MICKEY

Annual checkup. The annual checkup is the most common reason for doctor visits, according to a CDC study published in the New York Times. Yet based on several studies, the Department of Health and Human Services has found little support for many of the tests included in annual checkups. Many doctors say they perform routine checkups out of habit and that they help establish patient trust.

Eating Junk Food
Refined sugar and saturated fats taste great, but they don’t give your body the fuel it needs to operate efficiently. Remember, efficient muscles use less energy, saving you effort with every move. We may hate to admit it, but most of us feel better when we eat our vegetables and drink more water. Maybe it’s time to put down that doughnut and coffee and start the day out right with some wholegrain cereal or protein-rich yogurt. Not sure where to start? Talk to your doctor, or consult a dietician.
