COLONIALS PLAYOFF UPDATE

Well I went to see the Colonial Heights softball team play Prince George last night and the Colonials put a good fight but came up a bit short losing to PG 3-2. The CH girls soccer lost to PG as well 2-1, Julianne scored the lone Colonials goal. The CH boys soccer team lost to Thomas Dale in 3OT 1-0, TD has one of the best soccer teams in the state which make this loss very heartbreaking. The Thomas Dale baseball team was upset by Prince George last 11-8 in 8 innings in the CD Tournament, the Knights are still in the regionals though since they won the CD regular season, the Knights will play Lee-Davis at home next week. In the other CD semi final baseball game last night Matoaca beat Dinwiddie 8-4, Matoaca will face Prince Geoorge on Thursday with the winner advancing to the regionals. In the NHL playoffs last night Detroit beat Chicago 3-2 in OT to take a 2-0 series lead. My right shoulder is bothering a bit this morning so my PAIN index has gone back up a bit this morning. Defeat may test you; it need not stop you. If at first you don't succeed, try another way. For every obstacle there is a solution. Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. The greatest mistake is giving up. ~Unknown

Stressing Out
Stress increases your heart rate, which makes you breathe faster and tightens your muscles. In addition to this, stress can cause agitation and anxiety, which is known to intensify feelings of pain. Practice techniques that help calm you down, such as deep breathing and relaxation. If you can reduce your stress, you can reduce some of your excessive pain.
