PACKERS WIN, REDSKINS LOSE TO WINLESS KANSAS CITY

The Green Bay Packers beat the Detroit Lions yesterday 26-0, the Packers jumped on the Lions early and just never let get anything going offensively. The Lions only win of the season came against the Redskins. Speaking of the Redskins there woes continued yesterday falling to the Chiefs 14-6, the Redskins offense was just terrible yesterday as they have been all year. I just looked at the Redskins next 6 games and I don't think they will win any of the next 6 games, there schedule gets extremely tough the next 6 weeks. The Phillies beat the Dodgers last night 11-0 to take a 2-1 NL series lead, they will play game 4 tonight in Philadelphia. Th Yankees and Angles will also play game 4 today as well with the Yankees up 2-1. After todays high in the low 60's the temperature will rise into the 70's the rest of the week and its going to be sunny as well which will be a great improvement over last week for sure. I have added the Pigeon Hunter game to the top of the page to the right just for a little fun on Mickey's Place. Mickey

Examine Endcaps
Often, special deals, discounts and refund offers are displayed at the ends of aisles. But be warned— they’re not always bargains. Sometimes the items are “slow movers” that the store hasn’t been able to sell, or items that expire quickly and need to be moved off the shelves. So compare the price with others in the store first.

Do the Math
Feel foolish bringing along a calculator? Don’t. Comparing prices is a surefire way to pare down your bill. Calculate how much you’re spending on a single unit of an item and figure out which will give you the best bang for your buck.

Salt and Pepper Shakers
According to a study by researchers at the University of Virginia, your salt and pepper shakers may be a breeding ground for germs. To see where cold and flu viruses like to congregate in homes, they tested various places that sick people touched in the home in an 18-hour period. Blame it on bland chicken soup, but salt and pepper shakers turned out to be one of the places with the highest concentrations for lingering viruses.

What to do: Clean frequently touched surfaces, including salt and pepper shakers, with disinfecting wipes.
