ONE MISREABLE NIGHT, MUCH WARMER TODAY BUT MORE RAIN

I have to say that last night was one miserable night for baseball. We almost got two innings in with Dinwiddie before the umpires had to call the game because of unsafe field conditions. Dinwiddie had jumped out to 9-0 lead after inning in a half but the Colonials responded with 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd and had runners on 1st and 2nd with two outs when the game was called. We will make up the game on Monday night at 6pm. The Thomas Dale at Matoaca game was also washed out and they will try to play tonight but if they don't play tonight they may play Monday also. The CH girls & boys soccer teams did play Dinwiddie last night with CH girls picking up a 10-0 win while the boys team won 9-1. It is suppose to rain some more today and tomorrow here in CH but the temp is going to be in the 70's today and 6o's tomorrow a fay cry from yesterdays high temp. The Nascar Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series will be at the Texas Motor Speedway. My PAIN index remains high because of serious allergy issues and the fact I had to stand in the rain last night for about two hours. MICKEY

Skill in the art of communication is crucial to a leader's success. He can accomplish nothing unless he can communicate effectively.
Norman Allen

Conflicting desires
You are highly skilled and experienced at fulfilling your desires. The problem is, many of your desires conflict with other of your own desires.

For example, a desire to continually consume junk food would be in conflict with a desire to be fit and lean. A desire to go fishing every day can undermine the desire to be successful in your career.

The challenge of achieving meaningful success and fulfillment is largely a challenge of prioritizing and directing your own desires. In fact, the challenges imposed by the outside world are often much less severe than the challenges of choosing between conflicting desires within you.

So how do you resolve the conflicts between your desires? First, accept each desire as it arrives, without judgment or resistance.

Then, remind yourself that you can choose to follow that desire, or to follow an alternate desire, or to follow no desire at all for the moment. Finally, know that you can quickly and easily let go of each desire.

See your desires as reminders and suggestions rather than imperative commands. Calmly accept and consider each desire, knowing that you always have a choice, and your desires will stop fighting against each other.

baseball people are very similar to racing people they really want the game/race to go on even when the weather isn't going to let it happen!!! i reckon that makes me double stupid since i'd be out in the rain shooting pics a t baseball games and races!! i hope mom's riddle is easy today to make me feel smarter and get over my double stupidness!
