UVA STUNS DUKE IN OT, KEITH'S STREAL STILL ALIVE

The Virginia Cavaliers tied the game late in regulation on a shot by Sean Singletary an won the game on shot by Singletary 1.0 seconds left to give the Cavs a 68-66 victory. With the win the Cavs are now 6-2 in the ACC and tied for 2nd place behind UNC, also the victory kept fellow bloggers Keith's winning streak alive in games in which he has attended. I don't know what the streak is at now maybe Keith will tell us. Well we got about an inch of snow yesterday and it is all gone now so have say school will be open today to the dismay of several bloggers. I have to say that's the kind of snow I like myself, snow one day gone the next. The CH girls basketball game last night was postponed by the bad weather and it appear to have been rescheduled for Monday night, the boys team will be at Hopewell tonight. If anybody needs something to do tonight the Richmond Renegades will be at home against the Fayetteville FireAntz, these two teams have had some pretty good games so far. Also Andrew's basketball team will be back in action Saturday morning at 8am, that seems a little early to me. Well TGIF, and almost forgot to mention today is groundhog day. MICKEY

If we were logical, the future would be bleak, indeed. But we are more than logical. We are human beings, and we have faith, and we have hope, and we can work.

Boost "good" cholesterol
Here's one of the best arguments for daily aerobic exercise. Medical trials suggest that a daily dose of walking, biking, jogging, or swimming helps reduce the risk of heart disease, especially if that increased activity helps you lose weight. Research shows such exercise is the best way to raise HDLs, the "good" cholesterol that helps carry harmful fats out of your system.

1863 - Samuel Langhorne Clemens decided to use a pseudonym for the first time on this very day. Now he is better remembered by the name, Mark Twain.
1876 - Baseball’s National League was born. Eight competing baseball teams met in New York City’s Grand Central Hotel. The first president of the new league was Morgan Gardner Bulkeley, who later became a U.S. Senator. The eight original cities with teams were: Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, New York, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Louisville and Hartford. Two of the original teams are now in the American League (Boston and New York) while Louisville and Hartford are now minor-league baseball towns.
1892 - William Painter of Baltimore, MD patented the crown-cork bottle cap this day.
1946 - The first Buck Rogers atomic pistol was made -- for the annual American Toy Fair. The suggested retail price for this clever little toy of destruction was 89 cents.
1959 - “Winning isn’t everything. It’s the only thing.” Famous words from Vince Lombardi, head coach of the Green Bay Packers, who, on this day, signed a five-year contract with the club that made the ‘green-and-yellow’ a team of destiny in the 1960s.
1996 - Dancer, actor singer Gene Kelly died in Los Angeles after complications from two strokes. He was 83 years old.

That's 13 in row,but who's counting. I'm Undefeated w/ Leitao at the helm. I think he should leave me a ticket at will call, or better send me tourney tickets.

Next up for me is HOME date with the DREADED HOKIES.

I saw the last 2 minutes and overtime which support my theory about watching basketball. Watch the last 2 minutes plus and you've seen the game . The rest is wasted time. The only good thing about basketball is that baseball season can;t be far behind.
