VIRGINIA WINS ITS OPENER

The Virginia baseball season opened the 2011 season with 6-4 win over the UAB Blazers yesterday in the Auburn Invitational.  The Cavs jumped out to a 6-0 lead and held on for the 6-4 win, the Cavs will face Invitational host Auburn today.  The VCU Rams picked up a much needed victory on the road last night at Wichita State knocking of the Shockers 68-67, the Rams will return to ACC action on Wednesday night against Drexel.  The Virginia basketball team will be at home today against Virginia Tech, the Cavs will be looking for the season sweep of the Hokies.  Down in Georgia yesterday Scottie went 1-1 on the state wrestling tournament yesterday ending his high school wrestling career, Scottie hopes to do some wrestling next year in college.  At Daytona last night Michael Waltrip won the Nascar Truck race, there were several big wrecks in this one.  Well I threw about 300 more pitches last night getting ready for the start baseball practice which begins on Monday, my arm is actually starting to feel better now.  MICKEY

Ear Infections
Ear infections can become quite serious and cause permanent damage, so please see a doctor if your ear ache has become severe.

But if you feel like your infection is mild and at the beginning stages, put a few drops of garlic oil or white vinegar into your ear canal and lay down on the opposite side to let those drops do their work. Garlic and vinegar create an environment that won’t support the bacteria causing the infection. Repeat a few times a day until the symptoms disappear. (If your symptoms last longer than a few days, you should definitely see a doctor!)
