VIRGINIA SWEEPS A DOUBLE HEADER, RANGERS ON THE BRINK

The Virginia baseball team bounced back from Fridays loss yesterday sweeping a double header from Duke 12-3 & 10-3.  It was originally for only 1 game yesterday but with today's impending rain they decided to play 2 yesterday and Cavs came away with 2 much needed wins.  Next up for the Cavs are a couple of mid week games, Tuesday they will be home against Radford before traveling to Richmond on Wednesday to face VCU. The New York Rangers the #1 seed in Eastern Conference are on the brink of elimination from the Stanley Cup Playoffs after Ottawa bead them last night at MSG 2-0 to take a 3-2 series lead with series heading back to Ottawa.  In other action yesterday the Caps beat the Bruins 4-3 to take a 3-2 series and Florida beat New Jersey 3-0 to take a 3-2 series lead as well.  In the Western Conference yesterday St. Louis beat San Jose 3-1 to win the series 4-1 and Chicago beat Phoenix 3-2 but Phoenix still leads the series 3-2.  In the AHL the Norfolk Admirals winning streak cam to an end at 29 when the Manchester Monarchs beat them 5-2, it was the 1st game that they had lost since February 5.  A.J. Allmendinger captured the pole today's Sprint Cup race at the Kansas Speedway edging Kevin Harvick for the top spot.  I almost forgot to mention today is Earth Day so I hope everybody has a HAPPY EARTH DAY.  MICKEY
