A VERY GOOD WEEK FOR THE COLONIALS, RANGERS WIN

A very good week for the Colonials baseball team came to an end last night with the Colonials picking up a 4-1 over Varina.  Derek Mears went 4-4 and had 2 RBI's while Clay Snellings went the distance on the mound striking out 9 and added 2 hits offensively as well.  With the win the Colonials improve to 8-3 on the season and will be on the road at Prince George on Tuesday night.  The Virginia baseball team opens up a key weekend series tonight at home against North Carolina, it sure would be nice if the Cavs could win this series.  The New York Rangers won game 1 last night of there 1st round playoff series against Ottawa 4-2 while the Caps lost to the Bruins in OT 1-0.  The Nascar Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series are at the Texas Motor Speedway this weekend while the truck series returns back to Rockingham on Sunday.  I sure am glad that is Friday even though it is Friday the 13th.  MICKEY
