RANGER LOSE BUT CAPS WIN IN OT

The New York Rangers lost to the Ottawa Senators last night in game 2 of there best of 7 series 3-2 in OT.  The Senators tied the game up with less than 5 minutes left in the game an won it early into OT, game 3 is set for tomorrow night in Ottawa.  In Boston yesterday afternoon the Washington Capitals won 2-1 in double OT evening there series up at 1-1 with game 3 also set for tomorrow night.  In the AHL last night the Norfolk Admirals won there 27th straight game in OT last night 3-2, the Admirals will go for #28 in Adirondack later today.  The Virginia baseball team lost to North Carolina again yesterday 6-2, the Cavs will try to avoid the sweep this afternoon.  Greg Biffle won last nights Sprint Cup race at Texas holding off Jimmie Johnson for the win and I have to say it was a very boring race.  With the win Biffle has extended his points lead to 19 over both Matt Kenseth and Dale Earnhardt Jr. with Martin Truex Jr. 20 back.  Today the Nascar Truck Series return to the Rockingham a track that NASCAR may consider putting back on the Nationwide & Sprint Cup series schedule.  Also down in Corolla, NC last night there was big fire on the oceanfront which appears to involve 5 beach homes, details are still a bit sketchy this morning.  It is going to feel like summer here in the Heights the next 3 days with temps in the 90's.  MICKEY

Yawning cools the brain. Yawning and the sinuses exist to cool the brain, concluded researchers at the University of Maryland and Princeton University in a recent study. "The brain is exquisitely sensitive to temperature changes and therefore must be protected from overheating," the researchers wrote in a news release. "Brains, like computers, operate best when they are cool."
