VIRGINIA TAKES GAME 2, LIGHTNING WIN GAME 1

The Virginia baseball team bounced back from Saturday nights loss to Miami by beating the Hurricanes 3-2 yesterday afternoon.  The Cavs got tremendous pitching performance from Tyler Wilson and held on to knock off the Canes 3-2, the Cavs will try to win the series this today and secure 1st place in there division going into the ACC baseball tournament in 2 weeks.  In the Stanley Cup Playoffs last night the Tampa Bay Lightning took game 1 of there series with the Boston Bruins 5-2, the Lightning dominated the game throughout.  The Western Conference Finals will begin today with San Jose traveling to Vancouver.  Rain washed out qualifying at Dover yesterday so under Nascar to procedures for qualifying they will lineup according to Fridays practice speeds which put Jimmie Johnson on the pole and A.J. Allmendinger on the outside pole and Dale Jr. will start 3rd.  In yesterdays Nationwide race Carl Edwards picked up the win.  We got a pretty big t-storm here in the Heights last night about 5:30pm which dropped about an inch of rain and they are calling for some more storms today.  I don't know how much more rain the stadium can take today if we want to play tomorrow, I would say probaly not to much more.  MICKEY
