MICKEY'S PLACE BACK UP AND RUNNING

Well after not being able to post any new material here on Mickey's Place do to maintenance problems with Blogger the company who powers Mickey's Place  I am back up an running.  The last two days haven't been two kind to the Colonial Heights Colonials baseball either dropping a pair of games to Thomas Dale and Matoaca on consecutive days.  On Thursday the Colonials fell to Thomas Dale 5-2 only getting 3 hits and last Matoaca knocked off the Colonials 8-2 and we only had 1 hit in that contest.  With the 2 losses the past 2 days it simply comes down to Mondays makeup game with Thomas Dale at home on whether we make the playoffs or not this year.  If we beat Thomas Dale on Monday there will be a 3 way tie for 3rd place between Colonial Heights, Thomas Dale and Prince George and if we lose the season is simply over.  Hopefully the bats will come back to life on Monday and the Colonials come away with another win forcing a playoff.  The Virginia baseball team fell to Miami last night 6-2, the Cavs gave up 5 runs in the top of the 1st and never were able to recover.  The Cavs will try to even up the series this afternoon.  The Stanley Cup Playoffs resume today with game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals with Tampa Bay traveling to Boston, I think this will be a very good series and I know the Bruins are the favored but I wouldn't count out the Lightning.  The donuts were a little better and Dunkin Donuts this morning but they still had a little to much chocolate on them for my liking.  The will qualify today for tomorrows Sprint Cup race at Dover, Kyle Busch won last nights truck race at Dover.  MICKEY

Get that extra hour of sleep
Every extra hour of sleep middle-aged adults can add to their nightly average reduces their risk of coronary artery calcification, a cause of heart disease, by 33%, according to a study reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association. When you're even a little sleep deprived, your body releases stress hormones that constrict arteries and cause inflammation.
