CANADA BEATS THE US 3-2 IN OT

The United States hockey team came back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game with 24 seconds left only to lose it 3-2 in OT. In the end the better hockey team won but this US team put up a tremendous fight without many superstars. The Virginia baseball team picked up another win yesterday beating Rhode Island 8-5, next up for the Cavaliers is JMU tomorrow. The Virginia basketball team lost its 7th straight game last night falling to Duke 67-49, after a promising start of the season the Cavs are really struggling. Jimmie Johnson picked up his 2nd win of the season yesterday holding Kevin Harvick at Las Vegas, the Sprint Cup Series will now take a couple of weeks off. We it looks like the major winter storm some people were calling for last week isn't going to materialize for us which is a good thing, we may pick up some precipitation but no where as much as they thought. We are scheduled to have a baseball scrimmage tomorrow weather permitting at 5pm at the Shep. MICKEY

Warm up, then stretch
"Try some light jogging or walking before you stretch, or stretch after you run. Stretching 'cold' muscles can cause more harm than good." —Runner's World editors

Have a light supper. Those cheesy chicken enchiladas don't just make you feel sluggish right after dinner. A heavy meal right before bed can disturb your sleep and make it harder for you to wake up in the morning. Stick to lighter nighttime meals for awhile, like soups, vegetarian stews, and hearty dinner salads.

be good for something.”
