TROPICAL STORM IDA COULD EFFECT US TOMORROW

After hitting down in Georgia today Tropical Storm Ida looks like it will start effecting our are tomorrow. It looks like we are going to get some rain from this system and it will be a bit breezy as well, down Georgia where Scott is they are calling form anywhere from 3-5 inches of rain today. Well at work today it looks like I will be heading down to Virginia Beach today, well I guess it beats staying in the warehouse but it sure makes for a very long day. The CH girls volleyball team fell to Cosby last night 3-0 ending there season. I did do a little more Christmas shopping this past weekend so my list is starting to dwindle down and dad says he is going to take the Christmas decoration out of the attic sometime this week. MICKEY

CUPCAKE
The cupcake craze shows no sign of ebbing—any birthday, engagement party or office celebration will inevitably trot out these frosted sugar-bombs. According to Susan Biali, M.D. in Psychology Today, carbohydrate-rich foods enable tryptophan to enter the brain, which produces serotonin, a neurotransmitter that, simply put, makes us feel great. But the surge of energy caused by the combo of white flours and white sugars is followed by a major crash, as well as mood swings and agitation, making for not-so-happy birthdays.

You’ve heard: “If you’re feeling queasy, sip some ginger ale.”
The Truth: It turns out that ginger ale doesn’t help nausea. But ginger itself may help control nausea related to pregnancy, surgical anesthesia and even sailing the high seas. So if you’re feeling queasy, steep 1 to 2 grams of fresh gingerroot (1 gram is about the size of a quarter) in boiling water to make a tea or eat about 2 teaspoons of candied ginger.

But don’t go overboard: consuming more than 6 grams of ginger in one sitting can irritate the stomach. As for ginger ale: only a few companies use real ginger in their brews—and since most manufacturers don’t disclose amounts of ingredients it’s hard to know whether even those drinks have enough ginger to provide anti-nausea benefits.

Think your way forward
A problem is a problem for you when you think it is. An opportunity is an opportunity for you when you see it as such.

Are you going to let yourself be tossed around by events beyond your control? Or, will you choose to find and to fulfill the value that is imbedded in every situation?

Where you end up going is a direct result of where you think you will go. It's easy to think that there's no hope, and yet it is just as easy to see the positive possibilities.

What's the difference between letting your worst fears play out and allowing your most treasured dreams to be realized? At the most basic level, the difference is the way you choose to think of your life in each and every moment.

Every thought comes, without effort or hesitation, the moment you choose to think it into existence. The positive thoughts cost no more than the negative ones, yet they open the way for infinitely greater value in your life.

You can think that the world is against you, and you'll be right. Or, you can think your way positively forward, and live the magnificent reality of your highest vision.
