VCU FALLS AGAIN

It looks like it is going to be a long season for the VCU Rams, the Rams fell at Drexel last night 75-72. With the loss the Rams are now 1-3 in the CAA and will return home against Delaware on Saturday. What has happened to the Rams, maybe Lee can give us some insight on this. The Colonial Heights girls basketball team will be at home tonight against the Thomas Dale Knights, it could be a long night for the Colonials because TD has one of the best girls teams in the state. They are still calling for a little bit of light snow tonight, the weather service says we will get less than a 1/2 inch of snow. This years college football season officially comes to an end tonight with the BCS Championship game with will Alabama facing Texas, I am predicting a Alabama win, GO TIDE. MICKEY

Spice up your TV dinner.
Instantly improve your next TV dinner. After cooking, add fresh herbs, a squeeze of citrus, and a drizzle of olive oil to transform any frozen entree.

Change your idea of a snack. Keep snacks healthy and you'll be less likely to lose control and overdo it. Researchers at Penn State University found that when people were offered heaping helpings of high-cal, fat-filled snacks like cookies, candy, and chips they -- not surprisingly -- feasted on way more than when good-for-you fruit and veggies were on the menu. The best between-meal eats to put a lid on hunger? Those that combine fiber and slowly digested protein, such as a pear and some nuts, or whole-grain crackers with hummus. They'll keep your blood sugar on an even keel and your appetite in check.

“Take a chance! All life is a chance.
The person who goes farthest is generally
the one who is willing to do and dare.
The sure thing boat never gets far from shore.”
~ Dale Carnegie

Well does it make the food taste better Mickey? I know that you not put it on the blog unless you've tried it.

TV dinners are what's up!

Now, for the VCU Rams. I think our problem is our post guys. The perimeter guys are playing good hard-nosed basketball, playing with heart, and scoring their fair share of points. Bradford Burgess(Jr, Benedictine) scored a career high last night, 30 pts. They coaching is there, the perimeter guys are there, and the post players are too busy worrying about shooting outside shots. Jamie Skeen (Jr transfer from Wake Forest) was supposed to be a good post player. He does fight for rebounds, scores in double figures usually off the bench, but gets winded easily so is usually only getting about 12-18 minutes on the floor. Don't get me started on Larry Sanders. He is playing pathetic. He is 6' 11" and takes more 3 pointers than he does 8-10 foot jump shots. Its a tad ridiculous. visit vcuathletics.com or vcuramnation.com for more on the struggling ball club. Although, we are 9-4. This time last year we were 9-5. I wouldn't start worrying yet.

And this is Lee Olds on the VCU Campus, back to you in the studio!
