The Green Bay Packers will face the Arizona Cardinals this afternoon at 4:45pm in the 1st round of the NFL playoffs. Going into the playoffs the Packers are playing as good as any team in the NFL and hopefully they will continue to play that way this afternoon. In the NFL playoffs yesterday the New York Jets beat the Cincinnati Bengals 24-14 in the AFC side and the Dallas Cowboys drubbed the Philadelphia Eagles 34-14 last night on the NFC side. Also today the Baltimore Ravens will travel up to New England to face the Patriots. In college basketball action yesterday the Virginia Cavaliers won there ACC opener beating the N.C. State Wolfpack 70-62 the VCU Rams picked up another CAA win beating Delaware 77-64. GO PACKERS. MICKEY

FELLOW BLOGGER SENT ME THIS, BUT I DON'T AGREE WITH IT
According to Maurie Markman, MD., Vice President for Clinical Research at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas.

"THE MORE YOU SWEAT, THE MORE CALORIES YOUR BURN."

FICTION:
Your body sweats to cool itself off and maintain a normal temperature. The hotter you are, the more you sweat. It has nothing to do with how many calories you're burning--sorry.

Ask if it's hunger -- or something else. Lots of times you snack because you crave something emotional (or even because you're thirsty), and you're not even hungry. Before you tear into that bag of chips or sleeve of cookies, ask yourself if you'd be just as satisfied by eating an apple or a banana. If the answer is no, hunger probably isn't behind your need to nosh.
