VIRGINIA STINGS GEORGIA TECH, TEXAS HEADING TO THE WORLD SERIES

The Virginia Cavaliers upset the #12 ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets yesterday 24-21 yesterday and with the win improved to 4-2 on the season.  Virginia jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead only to have Georgia Tech come back an tie the game at 14-14 before UVA scored the next 10 points and held on for a 24-21 win.  I thought the Cavaliers defense played extremely well yesterday and the offense pretty much ran it down Georgia Tech's throat most of the game.  The Cavs will be back at home next Saturday against the N.C. State Wolfpack.  The East Carolina Pirates also picked up a win yesterday knocking off a very bad Memphis team 35-17, the Pirates will be at Navy next week.  In the NFL today the Green Bay Packers will be looking to go 6-0 with a victory over the Rams while the Redskins look to stat in 1st place in the NFL East when the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Nations Capital.  The Texas Rangers won the ALCS series last night with a 15-5 win over the Detroit Tigers and with the win on to the World Series.  The NLCS resumes tonight in Milwaukee with the Cardinals leading the series 3-2, I think the Cards will win tonight.  Matt Kenseth won last nights race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway holding off Kyle Busch for the win.  Carl Edwards now leads the race for the championship by 5 points over Kevin Harvick with Kenseth just 7 points back.  MICKEY
