CARDINALS AND BREWERS MOVE ON

The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Phillies last night 1-0 to win the series 3-2, this is a pretty big upset since most of the baseball talking heads had the Phillies winning the World Series this year.  The Cardinals will face the Brewers in the NL Championship Series.  The New York Rangers opened there season yesterday losing to the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 in OT, the Rangers will face Anaheim today.  Greg Biffle won the pole at Kansas Speedway yesterday edging out Carl Edwards for the top spot, the Nationwide Series will run there today.  In high school football action last night Matoaca beat Colonial Heights 48-14, down at the beach Edenton Holmes beat First Flight 53-6 and Manteo beat Northside Pinetown 60-6.  The Virginia Cavaliers football team has a much needed Saturday off this week, hopefully they are preparing for the triple option which Georgia Tech runs.  I have to say the the donuts this morning were not up to Dunkin Donut standards.  MICKEY
