The Colonial Heights girls and boys basketball teams will play there final home games of the season at home tonight against two different opponents. The CH girls will face Meadowbrook in the 1st game of the night and the boys team face Hopewell in the nightcap. Last night the CH girls team beat Hopewell 58-33, the girls team will play in the CD Tournament next week. The CH boys team played Thomas Dale but no score was reported. Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne won yesterday's qualifying races at Daytona, the trucks will run today at Daytona. Down at the beach there is a Winter Storm Watch in effect, they say the OBX may get 3 inches of snow by the time the storm is over tomorrow. Speaking of snow there is a pretty good chance Knoxville, Georgia may get some snow today and we might get some more on Monday. MICKEY

Poisoned Produce
How it happens: You already know bird-borne salmonella can kill you. Even if you treat raw poultry like toxic waste when cooking it, you may not be in the clear. While cutlets defrost in the fridge, salmonella can drip onto porous produce.

The fix: When defrosting poultry, cover it with plastic wrap and place it on a plate away from other foods, says Stanley Maloy, Ph.D., associate director of the center for microbial sciences at San Diego State University.

Health Tip: Dealing With Dry Skin
The American Osteopathic College of Dermatology offers these suggestions to help prevent dry skin:
Bathe no more than once daily, sticking to short (no more than 15 minutes) baths or showers with lukewarm water.
Use a mild soap or gentle cleanser that won't dry the skin. Avoid deodorant soaps.
Don't scrub the skin while bathing or drying.
Apply a rich moisturizer as soon as you get out of the bath or shower.
Use sunscreen daily.
Use laundry detergent without fragrance, and avoid fabric softeners.
Run a humidifier at home during the winter months.
