IT IS A BIT COLD OUT THERE THIS MORNING
I went out to move the car this morning an I have to say it feels it bit cold out there this morning, my outdoor thermometer is showing a very cool 58.5 degrees. I think that I am going to take my stocking hat to work today to keep my head warm in the freezer today. There are couple of fellow bloggers that are feeling important this morning, yesterday Dad & Les and another person went out to breakfast at Cracker Barrel and former student picked up there tab because they use to be his principal and guidance counselor when he was in school. They don't even know who it was because he got the waitress to give them there bill and wanted to remain anonymous, I know thy think they are big shots now. Well I have sent out the master sheet of who everybody picked in week 1 of the Mickey's Place College Football Pick em Contest, needless to say there were some interesting picks. I didn't sleep well again last night, I slept good for about 2 and 1/2 hours and then I tossed and turned the rest of the night. MICKEY
Limit Sweets - Are you one of the many people that simply can't go with out sweets? If so you can save about 150 calories a day to enjoy a treat after dinner. 150 calories is about 1 ounce of chocolate, 1/2 cup of ice cream, a small slice of cake or a Hostess cupcake. You may want to check out the lower calorie versions of your favorite sweets - you might find that a Skinny Cow ice cream satisfies your sweet tooth cravings.
Leadership is a quality of those who earn the respect of others through the wisdom of the combination of their words and their actions. ~ Walter Grant IV
September. Freshly picked fruits and vegetables provide more nutrients and more flavor than canned or stored fruits and vegetables, and usually cost less as well. Try adding one or more of the following fruits or vegetables that are ripe and at their natural peak during the month of September: apples, pears, cantaloupe, eggplant, garlic, raspberries and zucchini.
