THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS GOING TO BE A WET ONE

Well today is the first day of school here in Colonial Heights and it's going to be a wet won. All you teachers and students had better put your rain coats on or take your umbrella's with you today. Last night I went over to fellow bloggers Melanie's house for the families annual Labor Day picnic, we did have to eat inside because of a rain shower and there were several other fellow bloggers there as well. I can confirm that Mark is OK, but I can't conform way he hasn't been on the blog. I did get off a little bit early yesterday for Labor Day, but I still had to work my first Labor Day in 42 years. Focus on the task at hand: When you perform different tasks at the same time, you perform none well because you are being pulled in different directions. Look at your to-do list, which is the most important task, the one that will take you where you want to go? Perform that task and strike it off your list. The second most important task now becomes your first. Focus only on the task at hand, the one that will make the most important difference in your life. Follow the 80/20 rule.

Commit and follow through: Do what you say you are going to do when you say you are going to do it. Honour commitments, even the ones you have made to yourself. Let your word be your bond. If you commit to doing a large task, break it into bite-sized pieces, focus on one bite at a time and complete it so that you are never overwhelmed.
