WHAT A STORM WE HAD LAST NIGHT
We had some terrible storms last night here in Colonial Heights, the lightning associated with last nights storms was as bad as I have seen in years. We did get some much needed rain though, it's a good thing Brady wasn't in town because he would have been shaking terribly. The storms lasted about about 3 hours, some areas in Central Virginia received over 5 inches of rain. The CH football team will hold it's 1st scrimmage of the season tonight at home against Amelia at 6pm. Down at the beach all three Dare County high schools open there regular season at home tonight, Northside Pinetown will be at First Flight, Currituck will be at Manteo and North Stokes will be at Cape Hatteras. In NC they are allowed to play 11 regular season games. The Nascar Nextel Cup & Busch series will be racing at Michigan this weekend, time is running out for JR to make the chase. The new appliances for the kitchen arrived late yesterday afternoon and they should have everything up and running later today. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep last night because of the storms and my side hurts so my AIP is still elevated. MICKEY
Advice is seldom welcome, and those who need it the most, like it the least.
Lord Chesterfield
1835 - Solyman Merrick of Springfield, MA patented the wrench. And the design is pretty much the same today as it was back then...
1859 - A hot air balloon became a mail carrier, as John Wise left Lafayette, IN with over 100 letters for people in New York City. Once again, the mail was late, as Mr. Wise only got 27 miles out of town before being forced to land.
1894 - Pitcher John Wadsworth of Louisville gave up 28 base hits, all singles, in a single game. John set a National League and major-league record.
1915 - Charles F. Kettering of Detroit, MI patented the electric, automobile self-starter. And it’s a good thing he did -- or we’d still be cranking our cars by hand.

It looks good what they've done. Maybe They're are working as I write. I want it finished before I come home on Monday. Mickey needs some pans.
i'm very surprised that mickeys api hasn't been a solid 10 for the entire remodeling job!
