CABINETS GOING UP TODAY
Well they are suppose to come by today an put up the new cabinets, once they get them in every thing else should fall in place in the kitchen pretty quick and then they can move to the new room that they will be adding. The heat is going to return to Colonial Heights the next three days with high in the upper 90's and the humidity also is going to return as well. It does look a cold front is going to come threw Friday night to cool us down for the weekend though. There are two tropical systems which could have an effect on the US in the future, TD#5 is in the Gulf of Mexico and looks like it is going hit Texas by the weekend & Tropical Storm Dean could be approaching the entrance to the Gulf by Saturday. We will just have to monitor these storms because there direction could change. Fellow bloggers Al & Donna came by to check on the progress on the construction last night, I think it looked the same as it did last week when they came by. Those football photos Scott posted of Scottie & Dusty yesterday sure like they mean business this year on the football field. I was just wondering if the coach gave them #'s 60 & 61 to help Scott & Joy find them on the field. I have posted a link below to some soccer photos AL took on Sunday in Williamsburg. MICKEY

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
William Morrow
1840 - M. Waldo Hanchett of Syracuse, NY patented the dental chair. So, lean back, stare at the big light up there and don’t worry about that drill!
1911 - Procter & Gamble Company of Cincinnati, OH introduced Crisco hydrogenated shortening. We still use the stuff for pie crusts today.
1948 - CBS-TV inaugurated the first nightly news broadcast, with anchorman Douglas Edwards reporting the day’s events.
1984 - Pete Rose returned to become player and manager of the Cincinnati Reds after being away from his hometown for six years. Rose had been in Philadelphia and Montreal.
1997 - The Los Angeles Dodgers retired player, scout, coach, manager, executive Tommy Lasorda’s uniform #2 in a pre-game ceremony at Dodger Stadium.
Lasting joy
The best moments you have ever known are still with you. All the happiness and joy you have ever experienced is a part of you. Indeed, it lives in you. Circumstances most certainly change, from moment to moment, but the good things which you've known never go away.
Deep down inside, you are still the same person you were on the happiest day you've ever experienced. And deep down inside is where things truly matter.
Joy is cumulative and persistent. Think of a happy time and you are happy. The world will often attempt to drag you down and when it does, summon the power of your happiness. Think of the best moments you have ever known. They are still with you. And there are many more to come.
Joy is more than the pleasure of the moment. It is an affirmation that life is very much worth living. It may sometimes get covered up, but it never has to go away. Keep it with you and add to it all that you can.
