RENEGADES WIN 5-4, BASEBALL SCRIMMAGE TODAY

The Richmond Renegades beat the Twin City Cyclones last night at the RC 5-4 in a very entertaining game for the most part. The Gades got of to a bit of a slow start but turned it on in the 2nd and 3rd periods, there were even a couple pugilistic endeavors in last night game as well and one of those was a pretty good one. The Gades are home again tonight against Fayetteville. Well we will have our 1st baseball scrimmage of the year today at 2pm against Trinity at Shepherd Stadium, it looks like it will be in the mid 50's at gametime a far cry from the upper 30's from just a few days ago. Keith's team the Thomas Dale Knights will also have a scrimmage game today as well, they will be playing Cosby. The Virginia baseball team is now 7-0 after beating Siena yesterday 17-2, the Cavs will play Siena again today and tomorrow as well. The VCU Rams will finish out the regular season today against William & Mary, the Rams have already won the CAA regular season title. The UVA basketball team will try to win there 3rd straight game this afternoon when the travel down to Miami to play the Hurricanes. Kyle Busch captured the pole for this weeks Sprint Cup race in Las Vegas, Busch edged Carl Edwards for the top spot. I did go down to Wal-Mart this morning and I did get some glazed donuts an they were very good. MICKEY

Health Tip: Get More Whole Grains
Whole grains are an important part of a healthy diet. They help maintain a healthy body weight and a healthy heart.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture suggests how to include more whole grains in your diet:

* Replace refined foods, such as white bread and white rice, with whole wheat bread and brown rice.
* Use whole wheat pasta in casseroles, macaroni and cheese, and other pasta dishes.
* Snack on whole grain, low-fat chips or popcorn (without salt or butter).
* Cook with whole grain flour.
* Use whole grain cracker crumbs or bread crumbs as a breading in meatloaf. I DON'T EAT MEATLOAF PERIOD.

Emerge a winner
There are some events that you can influence by making intelligent choices and by taking decisive action. There are other events and situations that are completely out of your control.

You have what it takes to successfully deal with both. There's no need to worry endlessly about what the future will bring, for it always brings you new opportunities to make a positive difference.

You can do your very best with those situations that are under your control. And you can adapt and adjust to those situations over which you have little or no influence.

The foolish actions of others can leave you hopelessly frustrated if you allow them to do so. Keep in mind, however, that there's nothing to be gained by working yourself into a knot of frustration and resentment.

Instead, accept whatever comes your way and commit yourself to finding the value in it and making the best of it. With a positive, generous sense of purpose, there's no limit to what you can achieve, even when conditions are less than ideal.

Greet each new day and each new turn of events with confidence and enthusiasm. And you'll emerge a winner no matter what.
