VIRGINIA GETS BLOWN OUT AT HOME, RENEGADES BACK IN ACTION

The Virginia Cavaliers were embarrassed last night at the JPJ Arena by the Clemson Tigers 82-51, they Cavs simply didn't play any defense and didn't do much offensively either. I really don't see Virginia winning any more games this year, I think they are down and out. The Richmond Renegades will try to start another winning streak tonight at home when the Huntsville Havoc come to town tonight, the Gades will to play much better than they did Wednesday night or it could be a long night. The CH girls basketball team lost to Meadowbrook last night 69-40, the CH girls will be at Collegiate tonight. The CH boys basketball team will be at home tonight against Meadowbrook. This week sure has gone by fast and I am glad it is Friday. My PAIN index is a little higher because I threw some more yesterday with dad, I am trying to get my arm in throwing shape before the first day of baseball practice. Also NASCAR racing returns on Saturday night with the running of the Bud Shootout followed by qualifying for the top two spots for the Daytona 500 on Sunday. HAVE A NICE DAY. MICKEY

Motivation is a fire from within. If someone else tries to light that fire under you, chances are it will burn very briefly.

Health Tip: Pain Isn't a Normal Part of Aging
Some seniors accept chronic pain as part of getting older.
But AARP says pain and aging don't have to go hand in hand. The organization says it's important to see to your doctor to help figure out the cause of your pain, and to determine the best course of treatment.

AARP offers these general suggestions:

* Try to exercise regularly.
* Seek out counseling or support groups to help you deal with pain.
* Soothe pain with relaxation techniques, including meditation and massage.
* Rate your pain on a scale of one to 10 for your doctor, and keep a record of when you experience pain.
* Talk to your doctor about methods you use to control pain, including any medications and topical treatments.
* Pay attention to what makes your pain subside, and what seems to make pain worse.

In the living
The beauty of life is in the living of it. And the living of life is now.

It is fine to make grand, wonderful plans and to then bring those plans to life through your efforts. Yet do not ignore the quiet, stunningly beautiful treasures in each ordinary moment.

Happiness is not in some distant place of perfection and pleasure. Happiness is waiting for you to give it life in this moment.

If all of your dreams were to suddenly come true, you would have no use for them. For the real essence of their joy is in the journey you take to reach those dreams.

It is in working your way through each day, one moment after another, that you connect with the value of life. Every flavor of experience adds to the richness in one way or another.

Do not put a lot of effort into judging whether today is good or bad, happy or sad. Just go ahead and live it with a thankful heart, and you will surely experience this day's own special value.
