RENEGADES WIN AGAIN, VIRGINIA TRYS TO PICK UP ANOTHER ACC WIN

The Richmond Renegades extended there winning streak to 11 games last night beating the Jacksonville Barracuda 4-1 at the RC in front of 4,004 Renegade fans. The Gades trailed 1-0 after the first period but scored 2 goals 24 seconds a part in the final 1:15 of the 2nd period and added two more in the 3rd en route to the win. The win tied the SPHL record for consecutive wins at 11 and the Gades can break that recored with a win tonight when Jacksonville pays another visit to the RC. The Virginia Cavaliers will try to pick up another ACC win today when the Cavs visit Virginia Tech, it will be a tough task for the Cavs because the Hokies have ben playing extremely well lately. Also today the Towson Tigers will visit VCU. In high school basketball action last night the CH girls team beat Lee-Davis 47-45 while the CH boys team fell to Hopewell 66-51. My AIP is a bit higher this morning because I have a blister on my left great toe. I understand that fellow blogger Mark will be making a guest appearance at tonights Renegades game and Andrew will be making the trip as well. MICKEY

Each player must accept the cards that life deals him or her. But once in hand one must decide how to play the cards in order to win the game.

Fitness Tip
Stop heartburn before it stops you. To avoid heartburn (also known as acid reflux) make sure you workout before dinner and try to eat light meals throughout the day. Don’t eat within 3 hours of bedtime and avoid fatty greasy foods. Well, to be honest, you shouldn’t be eating that junk at ANY time of the day.

1959 - “Winning isn’t everything. It’s the only thing.” Famous words from Vince Lombardi, head coach of the Green Bay Packers, who, on this day, signed a five-year contract with the club that made the ‘green-and-yellow’ a team of destiny in the 1960s.
1967 - A second professional basketball league was formed by representatives of the NBA: the American Basketball Association.
1993 - The U.S. Internal Revenue Service agreed to accept nine million dollars from singer Willie Nelson to settle his $17-million tax debt. And the Feds said they would take proceeds from sales of Nelson’s “Who’ll Buy My Memories? - The IRS Tapes”, plus any judgment he might get in a lawsuit against his former accountant.
