GADES STING FIREANTZ 5-1 FOR 5TH STRAIGHT VICTORY

On coach John Brophy's 74th birthday the Richmond Renegades knocked off the Fayetteville FireAntz 5-1 at the RC and in doing so the Gades picked up there 5th staright victory. The Gades were out shot 45-19 in the game but goaltender Doug Groenestege made some tremendous saves and the offense made the most of there 19 shots. The Gades are off until Wednesday night when the play host to the Knoxville Ice Bears. The Virginia Cavaliers will be back in action today at the JPJ Arena against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, I think the Cavs should win this won. In the NFL playoffs today the New Orleans Saints will travel to Chicago to face the Bears and the New England Patriots will travel to Indianapolis to face the Colts with two winners meeting in this years Super Bowl in 2 weeks. I think the Colts and the Saints are going to win. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 1pm today until 7am Monday morning, they say we will get a little light snow and then some freezing rain before it eventually turns to all rain. I think there could be a delay in the opening of school tomorrow, but school will open even if it's a little late. Also on Monday there is a fellow blogger with a birthday stay tuned to see who it is. MICKEY

Actions have consequences...first rule of life. And the second rule is this - you are the only one responsible for your own actions.

Slice of heaven?

Is pizza healthy any way you slice it? No, but you can make it so... To make healthy pizza, you've got to attack the fat. Instead of full-fat mozzarella, sausage and pepperoni, increase the variety and quantity of vegetables and use a small amount of flavorful cheese, such as feta or Parmesan. Given the amount of pizza Americans eat, any choice to cut calories helps; collectively, we eat about 100 acres of pizza each day, which works out to 46 slices of pizza for every man, woman and child over the course of a year.
