SCHOOL STARTS IN GEORGIA TODAY, IT'S THE BEST DAY OF THE WEEK

Well down on Georgia today Scottie heads back to school and from what I understand he is not happy about it. I know there are several people here in Virginia that are glad that the are not going back today. Well it's Friday again the day I now consider the best day of the week, I sure am glad that it is Friday because I need a couple of days of rest. The Nascar Sprint Cup Series returns to Pocono this weekend and there are several drivers who need to have a good run, I am predicting that either Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson or Mark Martin will win this week, I sure am going out on a limb picking those drivers. It looks like that we might pick up a little rain today as well, we got some last night but we sure could use some more. Also in the BIB Tournament tonight one of the Colonial Heights teams will be be in action tonight when the CH Quarterback Club faces the Prince George Nationals. Have a nice day. MICKEY

I WENT TO VIRGINIA BEACH YESTERDAY

Well I went to Virginia Beach yesterday for the 1st time in about 20 years but I didn't go to enjoy the beach I was working. There sure was allot of traffic down there for sure and I know why I like OBX so much more now as well. We also stopped in Norfolk and Hampton as well and didn't get back to Richmond until almost 5:30pm, needless to say it was a very long day. Hopefully today I will stay some where local today and get off at reasonable hour today. I am very sore this morning besides my back hurting my shoulders and legs aren't feeling to well either so I have decided to put my PAIN index back up this morning. There is a 60% chance of rain today, we did pick a little rain last night but for the most part the rain has just been missing CH. MICKEY

MY BACK IS VERY SORE THIS MORNING

My back is very sore this morning after lifting allot of heavy boxes yesterday at work. I don't think I lifted anymore boxes than I have been but I must have picked up a box or two wrong because my back hurting pretty bad this morning. Also this morning my alarm clock went off 5 minutes earlier than it should have shorting me of 5 minutes of sleep. Well missed another pretty good chance of rain yesterday, the t-storms just seem to just missing the city. Also the 52nd Annual BIB Tournament starts later this week at Shepherd Stadium. MICKEY

JOHNSON WINS AGAIN AT THE BRICKYARD

It looked like it was Juan Pablo Montoya's race to win before he was penalized for going to fast down pit road opening for Jimmie Johnson to become the 1st driver to win back to back Brickyard 400's. Johnson held off Mark martin for the win, Dale Jr. was having a pretty decent day before his engine blew up, next week they will head back to Pocono. My allergies seem to be really bothering me this morning, my eyes are watering and my nose is running a bit, there must be something in the air. There were some pretty big storms in the area yesterday however here in CH we missed the brunt of them, we did get a little rain but not that much. Well it's time to head back to work for another week. MICKEY

MARTIN WINS BRICKYARD POLE

Mark Martin continued his magical season capturing the pole for todays Brickyard 400 edging Juan Pablo Montoya for the top spot. It sure should be an interesting race today thats for sure, Dale Jr. qualified 3rd for the 400. Carl Edwards won lat nights Nationwide race at IRP edging out Kyle Busch for the win. I didn't do to much of nothing yesterday but rest up a bit after a from a grueling week of work, hopefully my body will eventually get use to my new schedule and job. MICKEY

WE LOST LAST NIGHT 6-3, INDY QUALIFYING TODDAY

We lost last night 6-3 in the Appomattox League baseball final to Matoaca. We played a pretty good game but just made a couple of of costly mistakes, we finished 2nd in the regular season and in the playoffs. They will qualify for the tomorrows Brickyard 400 later today, Mark Martin lead the final practice followed by Juan Pablo Montoya. Dale Jr. was running unusually fast yesterday and was 6th in the final practice. Well I did get some good chocolate donuts this morning at Wal-Mart, if they did not have any donuts I was going to go over to Dunkin Donuts in Hopewell but I didn't have too. While I was at Wal-Mart I did notice they had allot of school supplies and they appeared to be on sale. MICKEY
