I'm going to give the riddle to Al because most of his answer was in the book. I will use the bruiser and food question again. We do have a ballgame today but not sure if I will make it because you know it's hard for me to get the nerve to drive there. It will be dark when I come home and I'm afraid I will get lost and no one will every see me again. HAHA Dinwiddie is a big place.

The New York Rangers have dug themselves a very deep hole in there best of 7 series with the Penguins after last nights 5-3 loss and now trail there series 3-0, I am afraid that the Rangers are pretty much done because I just don't see them beating the Penguins 4 straight times. The CH Colonials were washed out at Dinwiddie last night and they will try to play again tonight at 6pm, also Thomas Dale and Matoaca also will try to pay again today in there battle for 1st place. I have a very busy day ahead of me today, I have to go to work, then to the dentist and then to Dinwiddie for the baseball game tonight. I will have some Advil with me because my head is already hurting thinking about going to the dentist. It is pretty cold here in CH this morning, right now it is 39 but it is suppose to get up in to the mid 60's before dropping back into the 30's later tonight. They have done a good job cleaning up from all the tornado damage here in CH, most places are back open but there are few that will take a little longer because of numerous issues. MICKEY

Health Tip: Create a Space for Sleep Difficulty sleeping can be caused by simply having too many distractions and discomforts in your bedroom.
Try these steps to create an environment for better sleep, courtesy of the National Sleep Foundation: Make sure your room is quiet. If necessary, try using a white noise machine or earplugs. Keep your room at a temperature that's comfortable. Slightly cooler temperatures often are best for sleep. Keep the bedroom dark. Also make sure you get plenty of exposure to light during the day. Make sure your bed and pillows are comfortable and clean, and big enough for you and your sleep partner to share. Avoid TV or a computer in the bedroom. Offer pets their own bed or other comfy sleep spot.
Fulfillment never ceases Fulfillment is not a matter of doing more. It is a matter of focusing who you are, what you have and the actions you are already taking.
Fulfillment flows from focusing your life around specific and authentically held intentions. When the intention is clear, consistent and meaningful, you already have sufficient means to bring it about.
Though you will surely cross through formidable challenges, fulfillment is not a struggle. Rather, it is a unique and magnificent expression which receives its nourishment from those very challenges.
Fulfillment brings the ineffable treasures inside of you to the surface and beyond, where they manifest as great value. Fulfillment is a medium through which you intimately interact with all of life, strengthening the presence of joy in the process.
The fulfillment of your most profound desires is always present in your life. By your continual thankfulness for what is, you allow and enable the fulfillment of what can be.
See the beauty, feel the joy, and keep your thoughts filled with the most positive and meaningful possibilities. For fulfillment never ceases. Ralph Marston

The Colonial Heights Colonials are scheduled to be at Dinwiddie tonight at 6pm weather permitting and it looks unlikely at this time that we will be able to play tonight. Also today Matoaca was scheduled to be at Thomas Dale in the battle for 1st place in the Central District. I don't know about you but I am extremely tired of all this rain we have been having and it is suppose to rain again this weekend. The damage from yesterdays tornado was much less than they tornado we had here in CH back in 1993 however there several buildings which did have some moderate damage which mostly were the result of losing there roofs. There best news here in CH is that there were only minor injuries from the tornado and that allot of the buildings damaged will be able to reopen today. There were a couple of other tornadoes in Virginia in Brunswick and Suffolk and the one in Suffolk cause some major damage and that tornado appears to have been the strongest of the tornadoes which hit the state yesterday. The New York Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins will resume there best of 7 series tonight at Madison Square Garden in a must win game for the Rangers, if the Rangers lose tonight there is no way that they come back form a 3-0 deficit. Hopefully today will be a bit calmer than yesterday. MICKEY

Here are 9 tips to help you on your way.
1. Be grateful: start or end every day by appreciating what you have rather than what you don't have. Make a ritual of it: "I'm grateful for .." Do this 5 times, listing a different thing each time.
2. Put your fork or your sandwich down between mouthfuls. This way you are likely to eat less and enjoy your food more.
3. Talk to a friend - not by email, but over the phone, or better still get together.
4. Sit at the table to eat, but clear the table of bills, things to do, etc. It doesn't help your digestion, if you look at your unpaid bills while you eat.
5. Walk (or jog or run) a little more. You should be taking 10,000 steps a day, but most people are only taking 3,000 to 4,000. Buying a pedometer will help to keep your motivation up.
6. Drink more water. It's good for your skin, helps you to avoid constipation, and may help you to lose weight as we often misinterpret the body's thirst request as a food request.
7. Volunteer to help someone else. Research shows that we live longer and happier lives if we spend time helping others rather than just thinking about ourselves.
8. Have a laugh. Buy yourself a child's joke book, and indulge, or buy a bubble-making machine and run around after the bubbles (this will help you with tip 5 too).
9. Look at the sky. Research has shown that people in hospital make a better recovery if they can see the sky from their hospital beds. Why wait to be ill? Enjoy it now.
A tornado touched in the Southpark Mall area of the city this afternoon. The tornado didn't appear to be no wear near as strong as the last one to hit that same area back in 1993. There is some moderate damage though and there were some minor injuries. There was also some damage to the roof of the field house at the football field. It appears the City of Suffolk has had major damage. MICKEY
Well it looks like if we practice at all today it will be in the cage again. There is a 100% of rain today on top of the rain we already had this weekend. We haven't been able to practice on the field in more than a week because of all the rain we have had, we sure have had our share of dreary days. The New York Rangers are now down 2-0 with the Penguins after yesterdays 2-0 loss, the way the Penguins are playing right now it is going to be extremely difficult to overcome that deficit. Kyle Busch won yesterdays Sprint Cup race at Talladega beating Juan Montoya back to the line to pick up the win, Jeff Burton still leads the points standings by 29 over Kyle Busch, 79 over Dale Jr. and 99 over Denny Hamlin. Kyle Busch has quickly become the #1 driver in the Joe Gibbs Racing stable. My sinuses are much better this morning mainly because I didn't go outside to much yesterday but I turned my left foot and it is a bit sore. In each small moment and in every large undertaking, your frame of life sets the stage. So choose to frame your life with love, with respect, with beauty, grace and a focus on the most magnificent possibilities.
The way you see the world determines the kind of world you see. So decide to assume, expect and look for the very best you can imagine.

Well I went out to see Andrew's LL team play yesterday afternoon and after 2 hours of action the game ended in a 8-8 ties. Andrew had 1 hit in the game and also made a very nice catch on a ball that he caught behind 1st base and was able to double up the runner who was going to 2nd and couldn't get back to the base in time. Andrew's team is scheduled to play again this afternoon at 4pm but there is a pretty good chance of rain today. I have posted a link below to the photos Al took at yesterdays game. The New York Rangers will try to even there series up at 1 today when they meet the Penguins at 2pm today, the Rangers have to find a way to slow down the Penguins potent offensive attack. Tony Stewart won yesterdays Nationwide race at Talladega avoiding the big wreck and holding off David Stremme for the win, hopefully there won't be big one in todays race. Next week NASCAR traveling circuit will be at the Richmond International Raceway. My PAIN index remains a bit on the high side this morning because I ran outside and cut the grass yesterday morning which caused me take in a bit to much pollen and there is mosquito in the house which has bit me a few times and he is still on the lose. Tips to Manage Stress by Susan Creal, M.S.Ed Do you suffer from? • Poor concentration and increased irritability • Drinking excess caffeine or alcohol or smoking more • Not being able to sleep well • Palpitations of the heart, a ‘lump’ in the throat or stomach or dry mouth • Always feeling like something needs to be done and that you cannot simply sit and relax • Fatigue • Headaches • Cravings for sweets or other carbohydrates • Aches and pains • Are you sick more often than you would like?
Do any of these symptoms pertain to you? Have you been ignoring them and hoped they would simply disappear? Read to learn some tips on how to keep them at bay?
For starters, I am a firm believer in getting your exercise. Make sure it is part of your life. If it is impossible to fit it in everyday, then fit it in at least 3-4 times per week. Your body will thank you for it! Getting at least 20-30 minutes of walking, running, weight training, yoga.. Etc. will make you feel increasingly better while your stress levels decrease. Schedule it in your weekly planner and stick to the appointment!
Keeping a diary is also VERY therapeutic. In the diary, write about the times, places and events where people tend to make you feel stressed. What was the circumstance? Why did the event make you feel stressed? Analyze your entries after a few days and try to see it there is a pattern forming. Are the triggers personality conflicts? Have you been asked to do too much? Are there time pressures? Once identified, you can implement the appropriate strategies to lessen your stress levels.
Try talking with a friend! Getting out what is bothering you is also incredibly helpful. Venting to someone who will truly listen is incredibly valuable.
Schedule breaks in your day. If you know your day will be hectic from morning until night, get up 15-20 minutes earlier and begin your day slowly. Take a walk, do some stretching, yoga, meditation, journaling…anything that will set your mind in a positive frame set.
Understand what it means to relax. Many people don’t understand how to do this. Deep breathing techniques are incredibly helpful. Try slowly inhaling while counting to five; hold your breath for five seconds, then breath out slowly. Repeat this up to 10 times when stress levels are rising! Your body will love the relief it gets!
Take mini stretch breaks! If you are at a desk all day, take a walk down the hall and stop and stretch your body. If you can’t leave your desk and are in need of instantaneous stress relief, try keeping your shoulders level ant try to touch each shoulder with your ear. Look right, up at the ceiling, down at the floor and then rotate each shoulder in a circle. Repeat this about 5 times. Open and close your jaw widely after each time. Stress can cause tension in the jaw area.
For a full body release, try tensing all of the muscles in your body simultaneously, hold for 5 seconds and then release. Feel every muscle tighten up..your eyes, your cheeks, your stomach, your biceps..etc. Squeeze and hold and then release while exhaling.
One last tip to help you is to GET ORGANZIED! Things tend to be tossed everywhere and inevitably important items get misplaced which adds more stress! If you get organized or de-clutter your workspace, you will feel more in control. Clutter creates confusion and a sense of loss of power. You don’t need that right now!! Take the few minutes it takes to tidy up a bit.
The Colonial Heights Colonials played a much better game last night at Matoaca bust still came out on the short end of a 6-3 score. We just didn't hit to well when we had runners in scoring position and Matoaca made the most of there opportunities, Daniel Falls went 3-5 for the Colonials and made very nice catch for the Colonials in a losing effort. The CH softball team lost 4-2 and the boys soccer team fell 4-0 and the girls soccer team played to a 2-2 tie with Matoaca. The New York Rangers blew a 3-0 lead in game 1 of there best of 7 series with the Penguins and lost 5-4, the Penguins might just have to much offense for the Rangers to stop. Andrews LL team will be back in action today Noon at Ironbridge Park on field #4 and they will be playing the Cubs. They will qualify this morning for Sundays Sprint Cup race at Talladega, maybe JR can break his losing streak this weekend. MICKEY

Gratitude: Acknowledgment By Cynthia Morris
Imagine getting a glass of water and as you fill it, water leaks out of holes in the glass. How much more effort would it take to quench your thirst and fill your belly than if you had a glass that is intact?
A similar leakage happens when we do not take the time to fill our own well with acknowledgment of our progress. As we make our way toward completion of our goals, whether it is writing a book, building a web site, or raising a healthy child, we may forget to pause along the way and refresh ourselves with acknowledgments.
What difference does this kind of pause make in our success? More than you would imagine. Most of us are accustomed to being hard on ourselves, noticing how we could have done more. By stopping to reflect on what we have done, we are better able to absorb the learning of our work. We see what we are capable of and are thus ready for the next step. If we do not do this regularly, we risk having a constant thirst for more. We burn ourselves out because we can get caught in a cycle of never getting there. The pause in the journey is encouraging, empowering and fuels us for more.
Acknowledging my clients for what they do and who they are is one of the best parts of my job. I get to see people's intention gel into action. When I recognize them for what they did and who they were being as they did it, they often are surprised to hear it and would not have noticed the accomplishment by themselves.
I invite clients to practice acknowledgment by keeping a log of weekly actions. As the week progresses, or at the end of the week, they take time to write down what they accomplished. I do this myself and have been amazed at how helpful this simple tool can be. When we go for large goals, it is vital that we note the landscape along the way. Often people do this by looking at their weekly to do list and noticing what they have checked off. But I find that doing a separate list, with a title like "What I accomplished this week" carries more weight than a to do list that you will then throw away.
I cannot stress enough how important this small action can be to your success. Try it for a few weeks and notice the impact.
Challenge: Stop today and notice what you have accomplished during the last week. Write down the steps you have taken, no matter how small. When you have your list complete, look at the big picture. What qualities or skills did you use to accomplish these tasks? What reward will you give yourself for coming this far?
