VIRGINIA BEATS HAMPTON, CH GIRLS BACK IN ACTION

The Virginia Cavalier basketball team beat the Hampton Pirates last night 79-65 with both Andrew and Keith in attendance, I think Andrew is still undefeated when he is in attendance at the JPJ Arena. Virginia's next game will another home game against Elon on Saturday afternoon. The CH girls basketball team will be back in action this morning at 10:30am when they play one of the best teams in the area Atlee in Richmond Times Dispatch basketball tournament at the Seigel Center on the campus at VCU. The y will also play both Friday and Saturday in the same tournament. Well dad said he was getting ready to mark a few fellow blogger of his Christmas list after not receiving a card from them, but he did get a few more yesterday so he is safe for another year, lets just say that he lives down south. My foot is about the same this morning, it might help if I would stop hitting it on things, it seems I hit on something at least once a day. I might have to sing another Christmas song for all you fellow bloggers in the next day or so. MICKEY

The only thing we know about the future is that it will be different.

PUN OF THE DAY
If you crash into a Volkswagen Golf, does that make a hole in one?

Health and Diet Tip
Avoid that seasonal bug. Keep your immune system strong. Here’s how. Eat a healthy, balanced diet, with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Drink lots of water (at least six to eight glasses of water a day). Get plenty of rest! Manage stress. Stress not only increases the incidence but the duration of colds. Get regular exercise (30 minutes or more, at least five days a week).

Beyond the pain
Resentment is a useless pursuit. It does not help you, it does not help the situation, and it does not help the people you resent.

Resentment expands the damage that has been done and prolongs the pain that has been inflicted. And resentment often leads to new instances of hurtful behavior on the part of everyone involved.

The way to end the downward spiral of resentment is with forgiveness. Forgiveness frees you to move forward, unfettered by the burden of past wrongdoing.

Forgiveness does not mean that what happened was acceptable. Forgiveness simply enables you to completely, once and for all, let it go.

In every life, there are numerous and continuing opportunities for deep, abiding and destructive resentment. But there is nothing at all to be gained by spending your life filling up a mental warehouse with those painful resentments.

Choose instead to quickly forgive, and to move forward, beyond the pain and into a world filled with positive possibilities. Don't waste your life on resentment when there is so very much beauty, life and love to experience.
