PATRIOTS STAY UNDEFEATED
The New England Patriots remained undefeated with a 27-24 win over the Baltimore Ravens, the Pats are now 12-0 on the season and the next victim will be the Pittsburgh Steelers at home. The CH boys basketball team will be back in action tonight at home against the Atlee Raiders, I might try to get up there if my foot isn't hurting to bad. Also tonight is the annual Colonial Heights Christmas Parade, if any of you fellow bloggers are going to the parade take a good look at Santa Claus you might recognize him. I didn't get any results back from last weeks test of my foot yet, my foot is still hurting about the same but doesn't appear to be as swollen as it as been over the last few days. By the way in case you didn't know Christmas is three weeks from today. MICKEY
Sooner or later, those who win are those who think they can.

Health Tip: Dressing for Warmth
During the cold winter months, it's important to protect your skin from frostbite, chapping and drying. Dressing warmly and wisely can help keep you warm and spare your skin.
The New York City Office of Emergency Management offers these suggestions before heading outdoors this winter:
* Retain body heat by keeping your head warm. Wear a scarf, hood or hat.
* Dress in layers to insulate yourself, and to make it easier to cool down if you get too warm.
* Use gloves, scarves, hats and earmuffs to keep extremities warm. Be especially sure to cover your ears, nose and fingers.
* Remove any clothing that gets wet, as it will only make you colder.
The joy of effort
Nothing can match the joy and satisfaction which come from sustained and effective effort. Every person, at some level, has a desire to make a difference. Getting things done, making things happen, creating positive value though effort is a powerful and proven way to make that difference.
Yet all too often we go out of our way to seek comfort and convenience while avoiding as much effort as possible. We make the tragic assumption that "the good life" is defined by an absence of effort, when in fact the opposite is true. There's nothing more empty than a life devoted to leisure.
Fill your days with honest and effective effort. Make a difference in a positive way and your rewards will be great. Experience the abundance of joy which comes from making things happen and getting things done.
