After yesterdays baseball action around the central district the playoff teams are almost set. Thomas Dale beat Hopewell 11-1 yesterday and Dinwiddie beat Prince George 8-2, Matoaca and Petersburg were washed out and will try to play today. With Thomas Dale winning yesterday game two of the opening round has been set with Thomas Dale playing Colonial Heights and it looks like Matoaca will play Prince George on Monday in a play in game with the winner meeting Dinwiddie in game 1 on Tuesday night. The CH girls soccer team beat Meadowbrook 6-0 last night, the girls soccer team will also be playing in CD tournamnet starting Tuesday night as well. Down at the beach tonight Manteo will be back in action in the 3rd round of NC baseball state playoffs against Northside. In college baseball action yesterday Virginia slipped past Boston College in 10 innings 5-4, they will play game 2 of the series tonight and Virginia State fell to Mount Olive 6-1. It's raining here in CH this morning but it's not suppose to rain all day though, there is only a 30% chance of rain but the weatherman have been wrong before.
