KEITH & ANDREW STILL UNDEFEATED AT THE JPJ ARENA

Keith and Andrew extended there winning streak at the JPJ Arena last night when Virginia beat American 91-70. I don't know exactly how many wins it is now between them but I think they need to step up the competition a little. The Richmond Renegades will be back at home tonight against the Columbus Cottonmouths, this will be Columbus first visit of the season and only the second time they have played them all season, the Cottonmouths are 1 point ahead of the Renegades in the standings. The CH girls basketball had a tough afternoon yesterday falling to Bryn Mawr 52-36, the Colonials will play Potomac today. Not only has mom had the flu but fellow blogger Scott has been under the weather since returning to Georgia as well, Scott did go to the doctor and they gave him a shot for his misery. Well since Monday is New Years Day I will have another long weekend, last weekend a 4 day weekend and this weekend a 3 day weekend, it sure feels like I am working for the government for sure now. Walk it off
Who needs special training or fancy gear to tone up your body and perk up your frame of mind? All it takes is your own two feet. Research shows that just 20 minutes a day of brisk walking will lower your risk of serious diseases -- that's just four five-minute walks a day! A half-hour a day is even healthier. Walk 45 minutes a day, and watch your waistline shrink.

1845, Texas was admitted to the union as the 28th state.
1851, The first American Young Men's Christian Association was organized, in Boston.
1937, Babe Ruth returned to baseball (he had retired in 1935). He was announced as the new manager of the Class D, De Land Reds of the Florida State League; quite a long way from the big leagues.
1945, Sheb Wooley recorded the first commercial record made in Nashville, TN. The song was recorded on the Bullet label; but it was 13 years before Wooley would finally score with a big hit (The Purple People Eater was #1 for six weeks in June and July, 1958).
1982, Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant led the Alabama Crimson Tide football team for the final time as Alabama beat Illinois, 21-15, at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, TN.

Sister - Glad you are feeling much better.
Scott glad you went to the doctor and got something to take to make you feel better.
At least we all got to have some fun before the "sickness" set in!
