I WENT TO VIRGINIA BEACH YESTERDAY

Well yesterday at work I went down to Virginia Beach and we did get back much earlier than the last time I went down there, we got back around 4:05pm as compared to 5:30pm. Well so far this week I have been on the truck both days, I am pretty sure that I will be in the warehouse today. The MLB playoffs are now set with Twins beating the Tigers last night in 12 innings 6-5, with the win the Twins get play the Yankees in a best of 5 series which starts tonight in New York. In the NL today Colorado will be at Philadelphia and St. Louis will be at Los Angeles to face the Dodgers, the other AL series will start tomorrow with Boston vising the Angels of Anaheim. They were not able to put Me Ma Ruth's pacemaker in yesterday, some of tests results were not wear they wanted them to be, they may try again today. Don't forgot Homecoming is this Friday night, the Colonials will be facing Prince George at 7:30pm. MICKEY

FAVRE LEADS VIKINGS PAST PACKERS

Brett Favre threw 3 touchdown passes leading the Minnesota Vikings past the Grren Bay Packers 30-23, Favre carved up the Green Bay defense the entire game. It was clear that Brett was trying to send a message to the Packers, he was the best player on the field thats for sure. The Packers front office sure blew it when they got rid of Favre saying pretty much that he didn't have it anymore, if he was playing for the Pack last night Green Bay would have won the game. There will be a 1 game playoff today to determine the final team in this years MLB playoffs, the Tigers will visit Twins today at 5pm to fill the final spot. They are going to put a pacemaker in Me Ma Ruth sometime today, right now she still is in the ICU at SRMC. Hopefully she will be able to leave the ICU in the next couple of days after the pacemaker is put in. MICKEY

REDSKINS WIN, STEWART WINS AT KANSAS

The Washington Redskins pulled out a 16-13 come from behind win yesterday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and with the win the Skins are now 2-2 and tied with the Cowboys for last place in the NFL East. The Redskins will play at winless Carolina next week. Tonight in the NFL the Green Bay Packers will travel to Minnesota to face the undefeated Vikings in a key NFL Central matchup, for some reason the Packers just don't play will in the Metrodome. Tony Stewart held off Jeff Gordon ton win race three of the chase yesterday at the Kansas Speedway, Mark Martin still leads points by 18 over Jimmie Johnson, 51 over Juan Pablo Montoya and 67 over Tony Stewart. Next week the Sprint Cup Series will travel out to Fontana, California. If I was still doing my PAIN index it would be pretty high this morning, I burned the roof of my mouth pretty good last night easting some pizza. MICKEY

The Virginia Cavaliers picked up there first win of the season yesterday upsetting the North Carolina Tar Heels 16-3 in Chapel Hill, NC. I think the Cavaliers will have another pretty good chance to win next week at home as well when they play host to the Indiana Hoosiers if the defense plays as well as they did yesterday. In the Mickey's Place College Football Contest nobody who was in the top 7 entering last weeks contest is in the same spot for the good or the bad after yesterdays games, i will post the updated standing soon along with next weeks games. In the NFL today the Redskins are at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in pretty much a must win game for the Skins, the Packers don't play until tomorrow night when they travel to Minnesota to play Brett Favre and his Minnesota Vikings. ME MA RUTH, EAGLES WIN, COLONIALS FALL

Me Ma Ruth is back in the hospital at SRMC, right now she is in the ICU and is having a pretty rough time. The Crawford County Eagles picked up there first win of the season last night picking up a 34-27 come from behind win over Macon County. The CH Colonials played well last night against Dinwiddie but lost to the Generals 28-6, next week it will Homecoming as the Colonials play host to Prince George. The rest of the areas scores are listed in the previous entry. The Virginia Cavaliers are looking to pick up there first victory of the season today at North Carolina, the Cavs and the Tar Heels usually play some pretty close games so maybe UVA will pull out a win today. Well it is my favorite day of the week again, it's Friday and it couldn't come soon enough. The Colonial Heights Colonials football team will travel to Dinwiddie tonight to face the Generals, Dinwiddie is ranked 5th in the region have potent passing attack. Also tonight in the CD Thomas Dale will be at home against Petersburg. Down in Georgia the Crawford County Eagle will be at home to face Macon County. Down at the beach First Flight will be at home against Northeastern and undefeated Manteo will travel to Southside. The Nascar Sprint Cup Series will be at the Kansas Speedway this weekend for race 3 of the chase. Well I hope everybody has a good weekend. MICKEY

I can't believe today is October 1, this year has been flying by and before you know it Christmas is going to be here. Speaking of Christmas I have done some shopping but no where as much I would have liked to have, I am sure some of you bloggers haven't even started thinking about Christmas. The National Hockey League starts is season tonight with 4 games with the rest of teams opening up there season over the next 2 days, if you have Direct TV you probably won't be able to see tonights games because the are the Versus TV Network and that channel has been dropped by Direct TV in contract dispute. I have received everybody picks for this weeks games with the exception of 1 person and that person is not a blogger but has said his picks would be in by this morning, I will send out the master sheet later today. I did go to the JV football game last night and I did see fellow blogger Al at the game taking photos, it was tough night for the Colonials. MICKEY
